If ward is advising plant to step to canelo and try and fight him on the inside, plant won't last 6 rounds. Plant can't fight like that. This is the highest stakes fight of his career, so he's going to do what comes natural, which is to box and move. He might befuddle canelo for the first 4 rounds but canelo will eventually figure him out and target the body, slow him down and win on points

Ward is correct in his assessment but I'm not certain Planet is the man to pull it off. Canelo is counting on Plant gassing and trapping him on the ropes in the late rounds and so far, I haven't seen anything from Plant that makes me believe differently.

Personally, I think Charlo has the goods to bully the bully, match fire with fire in a 50/50 fight. I also still believe Andrade's awkward style and long range would prove too difficult for Canelo to catch flush without taking serious punishment coming in, another 50/50 fight.

Benavidez is the man who will give Canelo fits... most likely right throughout the fight, because he will most likely survive... but definitely early

the outcome that you predicted in bold, is what will most likely happen unless... Plant can stop Canelo's momentum and keep him honest, by turning the fight into a boxing match

that is all Ward is saying

he is not suggesting that Plant trade with Canelo... he is saying that Plant needs to stop that fight unfolding in the hunter/runner style, to be more of a tense boxing match... which means that Plant will need to blunt Canelo's attack somehow... get his respect, and keep him honest... most likely early in the fight

the Mosley style of power-boxing is the way to do it, because Plant needs to keep a really tight game

Plant wasn’t raised in the hood at all. He’s posted pictures of his trailer park upbringing. He’s a rural guy with a southern accent. He reminds me of those KKK with southern accents and then left to Vegas and gained a different personality and clothing attire

Plant has an African-American wife so its obvious the white sheets in his house are for his bad and ain't made for wearing. Until recently I had not posted on Boxing Scene for four or five years and the ignorance is obviously much higher then it use to be.

I think people are sleeping on Plant. Yeah he doesn't have anywhere near the pedigree of Canelo but his style is what gives Canelo heII. That's a good point from Ward too. Rattle his cage. But can Plant rattle his cage anymore than Golovkin?

I don't think he hits harder as you think, you realize when a puncher hits hard by the way the opponent gets up, it was more like flash knockdowns because of the quickness fo Plant's hands, Uzcategui came back from those knockdowsn and he came right back to fight, he was never woobbled, never hurt.

When guys goe down and they get up woobling and got that look in their eyes, that's when you know they really got hurt. You can see that when GGG knocked down guys.

lol I'm not saying he's a power puncher but you don't see guys walking through Caleb's punches or disrespecting his offense.

But then again Caleb has fought low opposition ever since he won his title so maybe his punches won't be as effective on guys in the top 10 in the division.
