A lot of hate out there for the White Mexican. ha ha Are these boxing fans or identity politicians? Anyway Canelo is a hell of a fighter--it can't be disputed.

It’s going to be hard for Canelo to have a sense of “loyalty” to Hearn with none of this in the picture. The buildup with be a reintroduction bog Canelo to the American sports fan

Gotta give Canelo a lot of credit, it seems he will fight just about anybody. Some might say he avoided Andrade, but I think he beats him.
He fought and beat Golovkin in the rematch. Yes, the first fight was a debatable decision, but he fought head on with GGG in the rematch.
If, and it's an if, he can beat Plant, I think he would be open to Benavidez, Charlo, Bivol and Beterbiev.mgame likes this.

Whom ever owns the fight footage at the end of a bout is the boss. You got paid to appear on it for the boss.
Floyd Mayweather dictated what he got paid and he was his own Boss
If Canelo does the same
He's his own Boss Peroidmgame likes this.

I think a lot of Canelo's future with the PBC depends on what this Caleb Plant fight does at the gate / PPV. Truth is they're throwing Canelo the brinks truck to fight a guy he's a +1000 favorite (right now) over. They're also going up against a major UFC PPV the same night. I'd argue this fight will likely do less business than Wilder v Fury 3 (600K PPV buys). The only two fights I feel the PBC can provide that have some intrigue are David Benavidez & Jermall Charlo. But even with those two right now, Benavidez brings nothing to the table outside of being undefeated and losing the belt on the scales and Jermall is coming off a pretty lackluster performance. Does either fight generate 500-600K on PPV even by Spring / Fall 2022? Just things I'm assuming the PBC / Al Haymon would consider if this PPV is flop city.
