It would be nice to see someone take chances in matchmaking, improve through gaining experience and eventually emerge as a serious contender. Completely opposite path to most. People on here criticise learning in the job - that's exactly the quickest way to learn.

Time to step him back up again I reckon.

Might beat Kabayel ? but posters want him to fight Hrgovic that’s just a mugging .

I would consider Jennings the best name on Ortiz 's resume.

If only Hughie Fury had a hard punch, or could land his jab with some power. He won the amateur WHW title because he can move and jab and throw punches without getting hit. That was how he started out, move jab throw dance around and that led to the WBO title shot against Parker. They then tried to build up his power plant his feet and throw, and he has given it ago. They also kept testing him first Pulev to steal his top spot to challenge AJ, then against Povetkin again to get back up there. However as good as he can be he just lacks any power. His Dad even admitted as did Hughie that the tactic is to land soft punches in combos then hit hard, which has changed from throwing big bombs after the Parker loss. The likes of YOKO, Hrgovic etc will not fight him as though they may win his style will make them look bad, too much risk no reward. Get Kownacki or Charles Martin over here, Helenius though dangerous I think Hughie has the chin and stamina to beat him as Helenius will gas late on if he keeps him busy

Hughie vs the nordic hammer would be interesting. I'd root for Helenius by split or ud.

Dubois would be an interesting matchup.

Decent performance, as other people have said? His lack of serious punching power, is his main drawback. But I don't think he dropped a round in there against Hammer.

I would imagine Fury because of his lack of power and gears, will look like he is just doing enough against most fighters.

I think they should match him up with Dave Allen, or Pulev rematch, just keep him busy.

A fighter should do most of their learning in the gym, fight night in the professional game is about winning and business etc.
