I am not sure. Hughie can take the punch. he fought clearly better competition than Hrgovic. Hrgovic is unproven.

Dunno what to say, I have no idea how on earth Hughie won an amateur world championship. Not his fault, but he is so rigid and stiff and kinda looks like he has just started boxing. He has no fluidity and doesn't even throw straight punches. I don't even think he can throw 3 punch combos. He kinda looks like he's just playing in there as he throws jabs without intending to land them many many times. Weird.

I wouldn’t mind seeing that fight either, to be fair to Hughie he’s fought some decent guys and hasn’t gone the tomato can route. Hrgovic has looked good but against who?!

The tremendous power of Hughie proved too much for Hammer in the end. Nash out.

This fight did nothing to elevate Fury to anything but bankable opponent for someone killing time. He certainly will beat anyone on Hammers level. But there is not one name on any top 10 list of HW rankings that does not beat Fury.

He may have lined himself up for a better payday.

Liked what I saw from Hughie. That is 2 fights under Hearn & both good wins. Wach now Hammer. Both gatekeepers so it looks like Hughie can best that level of opponent. No issues with his chin or defence but the lack of punching power is a problem. He has improved but he is 0-3 in step up fights. The pulev fight he gets a mulligan because of that horrible cut. I would target the winner of Kabayel/Huck next & go for the European title. Takam is another name he could look at. Chisora is tied up with the Parker rematch so that won’t happen yet. I don’t think Peter Fury can enter the US or several other countries with his criminal background so Hughie’s options are strictly in Europe it seems unless he replaces his dad as trainer which I don’t see happening.

The headline should be "Hughie Fury beats one of the best opponents on Tyson Fury's Resume"

And the best active boxer on Luis "Boogeyman" Ortiz's resume.
