I think Plant has to box in tight circles and vary his jab to set up his offense . Canelo has great head movement so I would jab to the chest and body to break Nelo’s rhythm. Aside from that I would advise Plant to stay off the ropes because Canelo loves to tee off on guys with left hooks to the liver.

Try to be somewhat competitive for 12 and hope the PBC mafia rob Canelo. unlikely though, they’ll want to work with him.
cause a chance huge cut à la Fury v Wallin and hope it gets stopped.
Other than that, he hasn’t got much of a chance. Too many levels apart.Comment

How the fk did you come to that conclusion? I basically answered how I see the fight going, there's a reason Plant accepted Wards help and everyone knows what Ward is all about. Clinch fest at its finest
I don't believe Plant is capable of keeping Canelo off for all twelve rounds and like most here I also believe Canelo is just going to walk him down and chop him downComment

Outside of the GGG fights (I'm playing Devil's Advocate), when has Nelo been ''awarded'' a gift UDW ?Comment

This is a PBC event. Haymon’s world would stand to benefit more with Canelo’s rematch clause. If Haymon was optimistic about Canelo’s rematch clause, then who have control of the “judges?” What does Haymon gain with this one fight? Derp derpComment

So, according to your own statement, Atlas should re-watch BOTH fights
Jabs are scored (same as body blows) but JABS rarely win a guy a fight (UNLIKE body blows. Many fights have ended with a well placed rib shot).
The jabber has to be also defensively responsible (May like). GGG was getting tagged in both fights. Nelo landed the more showy COMBOS. If you think GGG landed MORE COMBOS than Nelo in EITHER fight, we can end this discussion now.
It's about who lands more, and better, shots. GGG outlanded Canelo significantly in both fights. Everything GGG lands is a solid shot, and similar for Canelo. Most punches they land, score. If GGG was getting tagged, Canelo was REALLY getting tagged.
Canelo fans would find a new criteria to score all of his fights, depending on what stuff Canelo did in those fights, just to try to get him the win. 'Canelo landed more uppercuts!!!' lol
By my count, Canelo didn't have 1 round in either fight where he clearly won the punch count, and landed the best shots of the round. Not 1. In 24 rounds. Not one round where he outlanded the opponent by a few shots and landed the best shots. Not one clear round.
People honestly trying to act like Canelo won those fights is pathetic tbh. He just got outworked both fights. It happens, who cares. That's boxing and life goes on. GGG with his toughness, jab, workrate, stamina, and activity level is always going to be a tough matchup for anyone, especially Canelo who fights in spurts.Comment

I just think the way Canelo is fighting, Plant is going to get run over. He doesn't have anything to back Canelo up, and I don't think he can acquire those things in such a short amount of time.
I've been wrong before but if Plant isn't battered in a similar style to BJS (and Callum Smith, but even Ryder did that), I will be shocked.Comment

Be active early on and make Canelo work. Do not move unnecessarily and use pivots and fire multiple shots while keeping active with the jab. Canelo got winded and was loading up on shots vs BJS and try to put him in the same position. But unlike BJS, commit to some of those shots and don't just throw pot shots at him. Stay off the ropes and tie up when in close.
It's a tall task for Plant but he is a good enough athlete with good enough skills to trouble Canelo. He has to be mentally strong and cannot fatigue as he has in the past.Comment
