GGG wasted his career. He had a chance to do some great things, but chose to fight bums for too long and then when he finally got a shot at the big time he lost a close decision and then went in a shell and fought nobodies again. There is a long list of fighters he should have been fighting to earn another payday vs Canelo.

What a waste. Because for as Insufferable and dumb his fans are, GGG was really easy to root for as a boxing fan. He was a very skilled boxer with great power who didn’t mind trading, but could also dictate a fight with skill. Great footwork and a good jab. Had a chance to be known as an all time great, but for some reason chose to fight bums. Have to blame all that on his handlers.

Me thinks Golovkin has made more money than he had ever imagined between the two Canelo fights and his DAZN deal. Probably enjoying the fruits of his labor & preparing for retirement after his fight with Murata in December

And the irony of all of this is that Golovkin won both fights against Canelo. It is a weird world !

You just described GGG's resume while he was a champ.

Nelo gave it back to him with that sad Mexican challenge

BTW, a 6 month ''ban'' was a technicality. Scientifically speaking, the amount of Clen in his system was far below the amount where it would be beneficial. If a person thinks Clen can win a guy a fight at the championship level, that fight fan is a goof.

Yeah, I think Callum Smith, BJ Saunders, and Caleb Plant are better than Dervy, Szeremeta, and Murata!

What Golovkin has or hasn't done since those two fights doesn't change the fact that he got robbed blind in both of them. It's obvious that Canelo has gotten better and Golovkin has faded since then, but nothing Canelo says can change the fact that he's sitting on a stolen win and draw.

Lets say that Canelo is right about this. Now GGG is 39 years of age though, and had over 300 amateur fights. so for sure he will be taking it a bit more easy.

Still IMO Canelo lost the first fight and the 2nd was a close fight as well, GGG was the guy that matched Canelo very close, unlike the other opponents that Canelo fought later in his career.
