The fact that you single out his being Mexican as a negative says everything about your motivation, and the fact that you're trying to criticize him for fighting bigger and more proven champs instead of untested weak links shows you've lost the plot.

When GGG refused the rematch, it wasn't just a negotiation ploy. He was under the impression that the fight was dead but Canelo gave up the A side and backed up the brinks trunk to get him in the ring. And even after GGG getting an inflated payday, his Mexican style demands, and handpicking his own judge to favor the aggressor, when he found himself in the ring confronted by an aggressive Canelo looking to bring the fight to him, he suddenly decided to back up and try to jab his way out of the Mexican style fight he called for only to take more punishment. Abel was telling him he was losing in the corner and afterward looked as baffled as anyone over GGG failing to deliver on their gameplan and Canelo turning the tables on him. And yes, Abel himself said Canelo earned it while trying to make excuses for GGG:

“It’s two great fighters. For me to say that Golovkin wasn’t at his best would take away from Canelo. We’ve gotta give Canelo the credit, too, that he was able to do the things that he needed to do tonight. It doesn’t happen every night, but for me to tell you that Golovkin wasn’t at his best would be taking away from a great victory for Canelo.”

Trainers don't make that kind of admission unless they know their fighter lost. And again, what part of team GGG saying they turned down the trilogy because they'd rather fight scrubs do you not comprehend? If GGG didn't want the second fight all that badly when he was the betting favorite going in, it's no surprise to see him turn down the third after taking all that damage. GGG isn't trying to catch another L and take that kind of punishment again. He's not trying to face top fighters period when he's a guy used to getting praised for knocking out scrubs.
50 press row scores for the rematch and only 2 had canelo winning. Fight was a split decision and would’ve been a draw if 2 of the 3 judges had not gifted canelo that 12th round that he clearly didn’t win. There should’ve been a third fight. End of story.

    • Quite simply, Golovkin was robbed by the boxing establishment twice, and instead of retirement, felt the need to avenge those robberies only to be ducked.

Face facts, boxing couldnt afford the Eastern European domination to continue on to effect their cash cow in the USA. Golovking was 37 years old and on the way out, while Canelo was entering his prime at 29, money talks and Golovking was a casualty of the corruption in business.

Golovking should be 41-0 and in retirement, now, he is just trying to get his and get out, after being cheated. Can you blame him?

All these Amerobums like Andrade and Charlo still fighting hand picked scrubs to pad that fake ass 0. That crap might sell in the ******, but smart people know better and have to much self respect to pay attention to that garbage.

people are celebrating Wilder's 3 losses in a row a bit too much.He won very few rounds in the series. He has no infighting ability. He has poor defense. Yes, he has heart and determination, but that really only counts if you win. Why would you tell your grandchildren about a guy that lost 3 fights in a row? Looking at his record, it's plain to see that he fought a bunch of stiffs. His excuses following the second fight were downright embarrassing. His lack of character is legendary. He was a participant on the 3 fights with Fury, but there are no participation awards in boxing.

that is exactly how I feel about Golovkin

for 3 fights in a row, he laid a egg... and yet casual fans are still up his ass for some reason

I do not count Vanes and Rolls... they were shltty opponents, and they were shltty fights... even Wilder selected much better opponents than that

no matter how much the fans cry about the first fight with Canelo, the following facts exist...

FACT: in 5 rounds of that fight, ALL THREE JUDGES awarded those 5 rounds to Canelo... and they did that, because they were clean rounds... Canelo CLEARLY won those 5 rounds

FACT: Golovkin had no answer for Canelo in those 5 rounds... he got CLEARLY, and CLEANLY, outboxed

FACT: Golovkin was supposed to steam-roll Canelo... that fight was not supposed to be close

          the rematch...

FACT: Golovkin could not get his game going at all... no trademark body-work... no hunting/trapping his opponent... no overwhelming his opponent and breaking him down with hard debilitating punches... nothing

at least Wilder got his game going with Fury, dropping him four times

and against Derevyanchenko... Golovkin laid another egg

when it came time to step up, Golovkin fell way short against opponents who were supposed to be underdogs... and yet, Wilder was the underdog in at least the last two fights with Fury

not necessarily arguing with what you said, although I do think that you are over-stating the issue... just saying that everything you said is far more applicable to Golovkin, that it is to Wilder

... then he " moved on "... to more scrubs and no-hopers

those scrubs and no-hopers did not exactly prepare him for Canelo

he found his level, and he stuck with it

              obsessed is when...

              * your fighter lies to you for YEARS
              * your fighter continually selects weak opponents, most of whom have no hope of winning
              * your fighter fails to live to his own hype, by falling short when he finally steps up

... and you still support him... supplying endless excuses, all of which are false

Why he never faced Froch or Andrade?
When did Andrade fought someone good? The only good fight which he almost lost is the Vanes fight

As for the Froch fight Froch was fighting at 167lbs while GGG fights at 160.. Mind you, what Canelo is doing is something else, but IMO GGG and Canelo were well evenly matched.

Like that has any bearing. If you went by the media, GGG was supposed destroy everyone in his path and take on all comers when he's never been that guy. After all the ink they spilled hyping GGG as the second coming and spinning sympathetic narratives, having him win would have provided them with a storybook ending and validation but Canelo flipped the script and turned the tables. There's not much more to say when you're beaten by your own standards like GGG with your own people conceding and declining the trilogy. GGG doesn't want it Mexican style anymore and his resume is too thin to afford another L.

yet on the other hand with ggg

He wrote, ”Confirmed to @TheAthleticBOX: @DAZNBoxing recently reached out to GGGboxing to enquire about his availability for a fall fight against Canelo, and the Golovkin response was that he’s “ready, willing and available.”‘

so cut the nonsense and fake narratives. If canelo was really a warrior he’d want to clear up the controversy like all the greats do. Instead he ran away with a controversial win that he really didn’t deserve. Stop making lame arguments and just say that you’re cool with him pulling a b***h move because canelo can minimize it all he wants but he hasn’t had 1 single fight as an A side that has been as popular, made as much money and provided as much action as his fight with ggg. He’s over here feasting on these Uk domestic level scrubs that nobody cares to see. Canelo doesn’t care about making the best fights. All he wants is to make money while minimizing risk. I don’t even care to see the trilogy anymore because canelo waited it out too long like the lame he is and the fans who support it are just as lame.
