Let’s say he somehow beats Wallin via a gift decision or something. Will he actually take the Fury fight on a mandatory lower end purse split?
Let’s remember:
- He rejected an IBF final eliminator.
- He rejected a WBC final eliminator.
- He rejected a direct title shot vs AJ for big money.
My guess is if (and it’s a massive if) he gets past Wallin, Whyte will reject the Fury title shot. He’ll claim the money isn’t good enough and the WBC are shafting him.
