You hear them call in all the time on the Boxing Voice. There is truth though that these fans have acquired a suspension of disbelief that Floyd can’t lose rounds… then again an unorthodox fighter like Maidana can change the tone. Judges know that a boxer CAN do what Chino did granted if they have a chin, but they go by what is presented. It’s obvious Canelo was TRYING to box Floyd, but failed. That’s why fighters can change their strategy to simply fighting than pure elite fundamentals. That is what Ross saw.

Personally I don’t think Ross was even bribed a bit. I think she quit the sport knowing that she wanted to give any type of swing round to Canelo. This even translated to the Lara fight. At some point fans have to acknowledge and give benefit of the doubt to the aggressor. That’s the thing, boxing fans forget that judges aren’t required to score the fight based on Olympic style (which predominantly tag-you’re-it-I-scored). Pro boxing is REAL FIGHTING, so interpretation is completely different.

Canelo haters (this generations side fans of Floyd and PAC) always like to create fake narratives because they’re in limbo for their favorite fighter gone, so just cast doubt on someone new, and unfortunately a lot of his race based. They like to say that Canelo fans feel the Mexican won or that the DrAw was justified. I have acknowledged many times that Canelo lost fair and square to Floyd.

The haters try their very best to never acknowledge the rematch for either Cotto or Canelo’s Lineal Middleweight titles. Cotto and Canelo punched significantly harder when they were heaviest. I never seen Floyd pushed off his feet like in the Canelo fight in other fights. So at 154-160 I’m sure Floyd made the fight decision to never fight him again. He was even scared that perhaps another Ross type would intervene even though he would have 2 other judges on his side. The odds got thinner with Floyd going northbound… for a guy who said Cotto and Canelo “were easy.”

Maidana and Canelo fights were nothing alike. what does that have anything to do with anything. Maidana performed far better than canelo did.

No. Lara vs Williams was an embarrassment. Judge those 3 judges for that outcome.

you need to rewatch that fight. Most of that fight’s highlights rinsed to death was from the first half. I’ve for years have Canelo 3-4 rounds at best. I already said Ross probably had a gripe with Floyd. Who knows, maybe she was hit once and she just felt that the runner former convict didn’t deserve “that” round. . It’s Champion vs Champion anyways. Imagine if Ward had been a Champion unifying with Kovalev? Those circumstances make a difference. Let’s not pretend judges don’t have bias, and Floyd’s style isn’t the standard for boxing.

What 3-4 rounds did you have Canelo winning?

Rounds 1, 3, 11, 12. I even itch to give him round 10, but no way Canelo won that fight. Just watch those rounds. It’s not rocket science. First half was subjective chessmaatching and the end was old school. No judge had it wide for Floyd anyways. If two judges had it 118-110 for Floyd then I would buy Floyd bragging about it being easy. It wasnt. That’s why Floyd didn’t want to fight Canelo anywhere above 152 and dismissed the Lineal Middleweight title because it was “easy.”

Theres no narrative that Floyd beat Canelo 120-108, as purple slurpers say “Canelo didn’t win any round.” There would’ve been conspiracy videos all over the internet as to why Floyd didn’t get 120-108. LolZ. Let’s not act ref@reds ala purple slurpers

So a judge can forget Olympic type of scoring or fleeing and base DAMAGE from the FIGHT. Boxing is also fighting not some let’s play nice point system. One card can only be controversial if affected the outcome of the fight. Even if Ross had Canelo winning, two other judges overruled by a stronger margin, not 115-113 x 2 vs Ross.
The fact that one judge scored the fight a draw, was, for lack of a better word, incompetence. The ginger was completely outclassed and if he won two rounds, it wasn't because he did anything, it was because fraud did nothing. A couple fights later, he again looked like an amateur, one judge gave him 9 rounds in a fight, that if he won 4 rounds was not because of his boxing ability, it was because his rival took the round off. Be safe.

That makes absolutely no sense but I credit you for TRYING. There is no narrative in the existence, by any fan hood or industry media that the judges who gave the fight to Floyd were incompetent nor investigated. Lol. There is no “if” he won two rounds. All the judges have Canelo more than 3 rounds, and Moretti - the most respected judge in Vegas and a Floyd fan, gave Canelo 4 rounds. If Canelo didn’t win any of the rounds then Metcalf or Moretti would’ve been investigated, and there would’ve been industry uproar, not just on Ross. In fact Ross was only 2 rounds more than Moretti and she didn’t even have Canelo winning. The difference between Moretti and Ross or fans saying Canelo didn’t win any round vs Metcalf’s card suggests it’s all fake propaganda by Canelo haters or Floyd purists, just fabricating what really happened.

I could see Plant winning a close split decision if Canelo is laying unconscious on the canvas.
