Has plenty to do with it. If woman strawweight ufc sales better than you then your a waste of $ to market. Thats part reason crawford welterweight career looks like wilder heavyweight reign. Get a belt off a bum then defend it vs no1 top 10. Crawford looks great but your suppose to look great shadowboxing( can openiners equals spar sessions for time being. Put this like this Amanda nunes sales 2x more than spence 4-5x more than crawford. If you cant sale 500k dont expect 10m less pre covid dazn

Promoters should have made this fight because the public wanted it. Just like Leonard-Hearns, it is the fight fans wanted. Pretty FKD up.

On a side note the hate Bud gets is incredible. Why anyone can diss what he has done in boxing is laughable. I get that everyone has fav fighters but wow back up on the hate.
What has bud done for boxing. Better yet what has he done at welterweight who has he beat and when(crickets) ok eo hes done none major for boxing. Stop capping like hes pac de la hoya mayweather not even close especially prime them hes been a champ 140 done as much there as tank davis haney in there classes lopez done more beat top 3 p4p in theory they done as much or more for boxing tank paltry 250k ppv still doubles bud ppv # again which y aint seen bud in a major fight.

I like both boxers, have never rooted against either, and think they’re both 2 of the top 5 boxers in the world. However, you have to be in complete denial to not see that it’s Spence’s side who doesn’t want the right. Saying we'll give him 70/30 -80/20 or whatever we choose to offer was sign enough to know what’s up.

Its a business end of the day. Crawford cant sell past 125-150k ppv spence 350k half those are the same boxing fans so in theory this fight sales 500k max being lucky add in box of them want 10m each min well whoever the promoter gonna be in the hole break even max. So losing $ with risk losing your bread winner belt equals a logical no bueno situation which y they aint fought. Its be like overspending on throwing a party knowing its getting shutdown. Makes 0 sense

Terence needs to beat Porter and think hard before he signs an extension, or chooses another promoter. He is right on one thing: there are fights @ 147! Ugas, Stanionis, Boots at PBC! Vergil Ortiz Jr. at GBP, and Josh Taylor @ TR. If I was Bud, I go free agent for Vergil Ortiz Jr. NEXT, then sign with TGB/PBC after that! Besides Josh Taylor, Arum has nothing!
IMO that is the smart play. Arum is old and simply far too concerned with his own short term interests. Crawford needs to break away and map his own path similar to Canelo before he's too old.

Im sure Spence would want to fight Crawford eventually, I hope he would, but it has been barn door obvious that Spence has decided to leave Crawford at the back of the queue, I know this cuz Spence said those exact words, "Terence Crawford is at the back of the queue".

He clearly sees Bud as the biggest threat to his record, his belts and his financial worth. Bud is his biggest challenge, he is the end of level Boss in the division and Spence will fight him last.

Crawford should not have to cross no fkking streets to take a fight and he was never offered 70-30, he has never been offered that fight at all, that was just something Spence said but nothing ever actually happened, it was not a formal offer.

Hopefully Spence will feel ready soon, everybody who isn't a PBC junkie knows which fighter we all are waiting for here.

Bud isn’t so much better than DSG if at all. They went 1-1 as amateurs and dsg has a more accomplished career. There is a reason why bud for the last 4 years has only called out 2 fighters. He refused to fight anyone of note because he knows there’s a good chance he’ll lose. He preferred fighting bums on top rank shows till his promoter got fed up and now letting him fight some big dogs. Porter fight is nice but still years late.we’ll see how he does

Crawford was demanding 50-50 which is laughable. Spence sells out arenas (Cowboys stadium) and Crawford field houses and High schools. Spence is a known commodity and does well on PPVs, Crawford is unknown and has tanked PPVs.

                      Try again fan boi
Factually speaking, you’re completely wrong. 70/30 or 80/20 purse splits do not happen when both fighters are major title holders at a specific weight. The one example is probably Canelo because he draws in so much, 25% is like 10 million.

You also don’t ever see boxers coming out in public and telling another boxer what they can have financially if they actually want the fight. A fighter tells their guys they want the fight and then the promoters try to get the best deal for their guy.

The fact that Spence wouldn’t shut up about purse split is a dead giveaway to what was really going on.
