Crawford’s the only P4P top fighter I can remember that had to have a purse bid forced to make a fight. Porter is a faded guy who is just above a gatekeeper.

His own promoter said he’s losing money on him.

He signed and resigned with Top Rank knowing it would make it harder to get him marquee WW fights. He was content hiding behind Arum and taking easy touches.

Now that he’s older and still hasn’t had that big payday he wants to start calling guys out. He has a big decision to make after the Porter fight.

Resign with Arum and waste his remaining prime years or go out and try and get some legacy fight. Right now when he’s done he’ll be quickly forgotten.

The only thing Crawford was chasing was a 10 million dollar plus payday, Spence's people were like, your not worth that kind of money, Crawford then claims they did not want the fight. They wanted it, you just priced yourself out on purpose, so you would not have to fight Spence. If Crawford beats Porter, he will continue the trend of avoiding dangerous opponents, this time he will avoid Ennis, Ugas, and Ortiz, book it......

Factually speaking, you’re completely wrong. 70/30 or 80/20 purse splits do not happen when both fighters are major title holders at a specific weight. The one example is probably Canelo because he draws in so much, 25% is like 10 million.

You also don’t ever see boxers coming out in public and telling another boxer what they can have financially if they actually want the fight. A fighter tells their guys they want the fight and then the promoters try to get the best deal for their guy.

The fact that Spence wouldn’t shut up about purse split is a dead giveaway to what was really going on.
