And that's fine. Obviously Fury is the better fighter. My point is, wilder has made it this far in his boxing career because of his power. It'd be silly and ****** to not rely on that anymore. He obviously can't outbox Fury; his only chance is to KO him...amd he almost did, so props to both on a great battle.

It's funny to see so many arm chair boxing analysts/experts who have never been in any pro fights, arguing like little kids like they are qualified to post anything on gloves plus the lame schoolyard insults. Grow a brain first.Comment

Why was Loma considered #1 P4P before the Teofimo fight if he lost to Salido, a dude with double digits losses? The eye test, that's why. People that know and understand boxing know that wilder's concussive power could overtake possibly every other HW that's not named Tyson Fury. Tyson has the perfect balance of size, boxing skills, power and balls to overcome wilder.
Lomachenko was looked at as #1 due to the way he looked vs Russell Jr, smaller Rigondeaux, Linares, Crolla, Campbell, Pedraza, Sosa. This is not exactly a killer resume. Although it is obvious that Lomachenko is a great fighter.
Crawford is another one with a weak resume who is considered top 3.
Resumes don’t seem to matter much to most fans. They claim it matters only when the shoe fits. But you look at Canelo’s resume, fighting the best since he was 20 years old, fans get on him for not looking 100% perfect in his biggest fights vs the toughest opponents. But they do not care if a fighter looks dominant in 12 rounds vs top 10 opponents, as prime Wladimir Klitschko and Floyd Mayweather did that and they still had a large group of haters.
Boxing fans are a weird bunch.
They make a list of things boxers should do to be considered good, and cross out all those items on the list for their favorite fighters. And then another fighter does those things on their list, and they hate them.Comment

Most believe this will go down in history as a classic fight, yet you think one of the fighters who participated in this HISTORIC CLASSIC FIGHT, somehow didn't hold a good account for himself? Lol wouldn't be such a classic if one guy stunk up the place. Lets agree to disagreeComment

Fury with punchers gloves still does not hit as hard as Wilder. When it comes to power punching it doesn’t matter what gloves Fury uses as there is no even playing field when you compare Wilder and Fury in terms of power. If a broken hand caused Wilder to throw less it was a grave mistake to use gloves he had a problem with before as he already hits harder than Fury without punchers gloves.Comment

I agree but I don’t use the “eye test”. I do think Wilder is better than AJ and all other top 10 HW’s at this moment. But I agree with the double standards you brought up.

Let’s see the x-rays and doctor testimony to validate broken hand. None of the haters accepted verified shoulder injuries for Manny and Loma, even with confirmation from doctors and post fight surgery. If he did break his hand it was likely from fatigue. Too tired to clench a proper fist and his hands were too loose while punching.
Anyone know how much Wilder’s costume weighed last night?Comment
