I’m sorry but this idiot has the world at his feet.....has decided to go the diva route .....with who and when he wants to fight.
He could fight lomachenko and make a big payday for himself but he won’t go down that route.
I don’t feel sorry for this prick as he seems to have a very high opinion of himself and comes across as arrogant.
Now all of a sudden he wants to take his life.
        Very strange individual

Well this message is loud and clear to me and what I take from this is: I am done with picking on someone (even if I particularly dont like them) and putting them down especially when I know they are having a difficult time dealing with their mind.

Kind of embarrassing honestly since I went through depression and anxiety, which still lingers some times.

We need to help lift each other up, not shove each other down.

To those that wonder what helped me: Ayurveda and spiritual mediations (especially heart opening mediations (book Deep Heart).

I think most boxers would suffer from depression and think about suicide. Most don’t talk about it due to the stigma around mental health. Boxing is a brutal sport physically and mentally. Fans and media can be harsh.

I imagine after a few years of a pro boxer’s career, they suffer so many blows to the head, that the accumulation of blows over the years is similar to TBI, traumatic brain injury.

There are peer-reviewed studies that back this up. Blows to the head can cause permanent depression and other mental health issues.

Fury, Ryan Garcia, Broner, Hatton, are part of the few that came out to tell their fans and media of their depression. This is at the expense of fans, calling you weak, quitter and not a real man because real men do not suffer from any mental health issues. And if they really do, they learn to bottle it in. Which is even worse for your mental health.

My job consists of working with the criminally insane. A behavioral health unit was made for inmates with mental health issues. Inmates don’t want to ruin their “street cred” by looking “weak”. The common reason inmates refuse to go to the BHU unit for evaluation is that mental health is too personal to share. In reality what the inmate is saying is “I feel weak due to mental health. I do not want everyone else to see me being soft.”

It’s 2021 and people still hide their mental health issues.

Just look at how Robin Williams was destroyed by media and the public after he committed suicide. The man physically had a mental issue. He had Lewy Body Dementia, this messes with brain chemicals and leads to depression and suicidal thoughts. This was only discovered after his death, by physically studying his brain.

Not all mental health issues can be observed physically with the naked eye, unlike missing a limb, or going through cancer. No one would tell a man with a missing arm to just suck it up and grow back another arm. Or tell a man in a wheelchair, with a missing leg, to stand up and stop being such a p/ssy. Hop on one damn leg.

This is how mental health issues are seen.

This is the new trend. Professional athletes putting their mental health issues or feelings to the public. The difference from the top level athletes is mental toughness and ability to overcome. There is always pressure when they are at the top of the sport but that is pat of it.

So teofimo is essentially a multimillionaire, considered the undisputed champion, beautiful wife, big house and doesn't have to work a day in his life and hes only 24. He has essentially etched his name into boxing history, yet he wants to lie to these people that he wanted to kill himself because he didn't fight once this year? What a joke of a lie that is there. Teofimo better fix the fk up because he is flatout lying here. Just like ryan i dont see how someone who is wealthy young good looking and admired with a big family suddenly get 'mental problems'. What a joke
