Reading some of these comments on here. A lot of you outta be ashamed of yourselves.

Depression/anxiety know no bounds. I don’t care how “successful” or “rich” you are. Some of the most depressed people also happen to be the richest.

Oh btw, I hope you guys realize that repeated blows to the head, you know, like a boxer might suffer from, increases the likelihood of mental health issues.

Don't know about Lopez but Fury's mental health campaign was a complete smoke screen to deflect from his cheating and PED use. Also to avoid a certain rematch the fat crock of ****.

I feel like social media has a lot to do with it. These young guys grew up with it and they see everything being said about them so they think they have to act a certain way or do certain things to please people. They can't handle it and end up losing themselves and not having an identity

Your statement goes beyond ignorance about mental health. You should read the work of late psychologist David Smail. His work will help you to grasp concepts about mental health.

Isnt it exactly how it works?

Have you ever met a person who's at peace with themselves but at war with world (and its inhabitants)? Practically, when we make peace with ourselves it means that our thinking process is calm. When the mind is calm with itself, it is also calm with others. One is not calm with themselves, but needs to brag, disrespect, and look for attention (showing off). When I see this in boxers (or others, or myself) I know that that mental pain abounds.

Teofimo, Ryan Garcia, Rolly, Shakur - a lot of these kids, its so obvious they are mentally unstable. And when they attack others all over social media, its difficult not to attack them back. But deep down inside I know its a reaction to pain.

Money does not by stable thoughts. No matter how hard you try and how succesful you are, thoughts will do they want to do. One needs to work on bringing awareness to the thinking process - spiritual teachers known this for years. Ultimately this is what Christ/Buddha was preaching. Heaven is a calm mind.

Seems like a lot of comments are on one end of the spectrum or the other.

Some people just say "suck it up" and wonder how a rich guy could have issues.

Others jump in at the mention of "mental health" to passionately defend him against the mean forum posters.

We don't know that he's even being real here, and we're not going to know. Mental health has become a buzz phrase. It's used in court and in daily life to gain sympathy, excuse behavior, get attention, and even to make money.

                  Facts:
                  1. The next generation is always weaker/lazier than the previous generation. And I do think it follows that dudes break too easy these days.
                  2. Rich people have issues too. We're all rich compared to 99% of the world anyway, and everybody has issues.
                  3. Just because everybody doesn't just on the "oh, the poor dear" bandwagon doesn't make them a (fill in the blank here).
                  4. Every life matters: old or young, cool or irritating.

                  Assumptions:
                  1. "He has issues because he's been hit in the head." There's no proof this is the reason he acts the way he acts.
                  2. "Most boxers have issues because of getting hit in the head." Just because a few people said it doesn't mean everybody deals with it.
                  3. "He's doing it for attention." Maybe. Maybe not. I don't go putting all my issues out there; but I'm not him. IMO, "famous" people are always marketing themselves and trying to promote their brand, one way or the other.

Lol didn't he just called Wilder a b!+©π, which Wilder might seem to be having mental issues himself, I'd hope Wilder would run into him, if hes really having issues why is he still attacking these other boxers in a personal level, but we all know the route here, its work for Fury, Ryan Garcia, n now Teofimo and I still do think its a mental issue for them to approach there careers in this matter, I hope it goes well for them

Fair points, but with money comes access to a higher quality of help and care for these kinds of things too. My post was speaking from personal experience but I have also met people like that of course.

I don't wanna gush or anything but I tried to take my life some years ago and was committed to a psych ward for a couple of weeks and the best help I could get after being released was being put on an extended waitlist for counselling... I came out worse than I went in, albeit still alive, but with PTSD from being beaten and stripped by the police and forcefully injected with what I assume was haloperidol because I turned into a god damn zombie after. Not to mention all the other meds they were forcing on me.

I've tried a lot of things and medication certainly isn't the answer for me. I can't afford professional help either. I've never been a spiritual person (grew up as an angsty athiest) but starting to think maybe that is what's missing in my life. It certainly couldn't hurt at this point.
