Time will tell, but it's worth noting that misinformation has a way of flowing out of Fury's camp in much the same way lies flow from used car salesmen... that is, it's possible it's true in the same way a stopped clock is accurate twice a day. Not even hating on Sugar Hill or the Fury camp by saying that either, nothing wrong with a little maskirovka to keep the opposition guessing and to give the press and pundits something to gossip about.

Fury is a big tall guy, and personally I wouldn’t give a **** ass if he came in at 300 if I’m the trainer as long as you gave the rounds and work I ask for in the gym. We can get so confused by BS media we forget to focus on the goal!

I'm sure they still hurt because of his size but if Sugar Hill can give him better " power " punching technique, these fights would be over much quicker. All Fury has to do is avoid Wilders right hand and he's got the fight won. Is gaining 20 lbs going to help him avoid punches better? No. All the 20 lb weight gain is going to do is make him less elusive. I'm still picking Fury to win, but in my opinion, gaining 20 lbs was ******.
I'll quibble a bit regarding Fury's extra weight. While it makes him a tad less elusive I believe he can use the weight to smother and tire Wilder, as he did last fight. I think this fight goes similar to the last one.

Fury could still move at 28 stone. He has freak stamina so a few extra pounds will make no difference at all

300 lbs. Fury will absorb punishment well, but will look sluggish against the new disciplined, dedicated Deontay Wilder.

Wilder uses his energy, athleticism, and a high work rate to slow down Fury and outwork him for a Unanimous Decision victory.

Like others have mentioned, Fury doesn’t look heavier than last time but looks can be deceiving. I’m guessing the plan is to maul Wilder again which, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. Idc who you are all that weight coming at you, leaning on you, pushing you back is gonna be hard to deal with. If wilder has better footwork he could handle it a lot better. Unfortunately for him it doesn’t appear that he has improved in that category under Malik Scott

For all the skill Fury has though, hopefully he’s worked on his punching technique. He’s definitely improved under SugarHill but If you look at all his prior fights he definitely throws some weird ass unorthodox punches. I think that’s why he was called a pillow puncher most of his career. He throws a lot of slapping shots, doesn’t always keep his wrist stiff or straight, and doesn’t really sit on his shots.

The best punching I had ever seen from him was when he had Wilder in the corner and was throwing hard shots straight down the middle right before they stopped it.
