Comments Thread For: Wilder: The Delay Of Third Fury Fight Was A Blessing; More Time To Go Over The Game Plan

Deontay Wilder was frustrated when he learned early in July that Tyson Fury pulled out of their third fight due to COVID-19. Once the former WBC heavyweight champion overcame the initial disappointment of yet another delay, Wilder viewed the additional time to prepare as a bonus. The 2 1/2 -month postponement of their third bout gave Wilder a chance to hone his game plan while working with a new head trainer, Malik Scott.

Wilder knows he must improve on his tactics and yes if he can forgo the lazy sit back and wait while telegraphing right hands style then it’s a blessing. If it’s much of a muchness then it’s all for naught. I suspect it’s better for fury too since the reports were that he was getting murked by Jarrod Anderson and other sparring partners and had the family drama. We will all see this weekend.

He will perform better. But wise wager is for Fury on points.

Wilder admitting to wanting to quit and not do this any more? I don't think he really wanted to disclose that. But he does speak without thinking. Very interesting all the same.

So no excuses if you lose. Just say you gave it your best but came up short of you lose. Say fury is the best so no shame losing to the best

You have to go with fury on the strength of the last fight. Wilder looked poor from the opening bell. Considering how hard he apparently trained for this fight it makes you wonder why he wasn’t training like this all along

All True boxing fans hoping for a good fight. Except Matchroom employees. Praying Wilder is again dominated - yet ready to again not credit Fury. It’s the most bizarre mental health issue in sports fandom

You tell em' champ. Just remember to make sure that your Team work the Nevada officials big time in order to ensure an even, level and fair playing field because the deck is heavily stacked against you.

Team Fury is preparing to prevent you from winning this trilogy bout at all costs like they did in the rematch. Once again, the fix is in and they are setting you up to fail. So make sure that your people monitor, examine, inspect and vet Tyson Fury very closey and report it to the commission; Especially with his new minted pair of Paffen gloves

The ones he wore in the rematch with no padding in them because he is a known, notorious liar, cheat and dodgy as fuck.
