Wilder has got a game plan this time?! Big mistake if you ask me. I'm not sure that Wilder is ready for that level of technicality? It will just confuse him and be a distraction when he's getting trying to avoid getting punched in the face. Can't he just channel the power of his ancestors through his Bronze Bomber personality or something instead? That would be a much better approach imo.

Wilder is going to find out he’s not the same fighter anymore. That beating he took reminds me of the Vargas beating. I watched the second fight 3 times today and Wilder just doesn’t know how to box.

He is got to aim for the eyes when jabbing try to slice open some cuts. So much will be revealed on the first roundOldskoolg likes this.

It's only since the Ortiz rematch that he seemed to shell into this one dimensional style of just waiting, only looking for the right hand and nothing else. He completely fell in love with his big punch. Wilder thought he felt off from the opening bell in Fury 2, but I thought he looked just as off in that Ortiz fight. This is what he needs to fix. Just be the fighter that got him to this point. He'll have a better chance of landing the right hand against Fury if he fights with activity like before.

If Fury is in shape and as tough and prepared as he was in II, AND, Wilder is as in shape as it looks and as he says .... this is going to be a dangerous, bruising affair! So much intrigue in this one. Fury was nearly unbeatable at his size in II. However, if there is a current HW who can overcome Fury's natural size and strength it may be Wilder ... who sure looks to be in prime condition. The real test and answers will come from the strategies employed ... and who can keep swinging accurately and with intention. Wilder has to be prepared to beat Fury up over the long hall, not depending on a quick KO. Fury seemed to be ready last fight to throw hard punches thoughout the rounds, his stamina and mindset was very strong.
We may see a fight of the decade here. I'm still pulling for Wilder to win, but I can see many different ways this fight an go, and either guy has many ways to a win. The bad blood adds even more intrigue (although Wilder has to be careful not to let emotion interfere with his gameplan).
As Boxers I like both of these guys ... Fury is a unique person, there is much to like about his personality and values, when you can sort them out (definitely a character). And he's a big, strong guy that's light on his feet as a fighter. Wilder is pretty intense and can be agitated. Racism in America has had some effects on him. He has strong values regarding PEDs and being a clean fighter. He has tried to work within what God gives him naturally, and ought to be more appreciated for that. He's a big strong guy with a very fast punch and swing. He started boxing late and has come a very long way. No one can disregard his ability and speed to take a man out.
I hope there are no controversies in the fight, the referee-ing, and the judging. This is an epic battle between two proud and determined guys, it deserves to be settled by the work these guys put in to this battle alone. Hopefully everyone involved will be at their professional best.
May the best man win, honorably. As fans I hope we all appreciate what makes both of these guys special and must-see when in action.
