Because that is about the only top-tier fighter he ever fought. How many top-10 has he fought?

Wtf? He was in obscurity before the Fury fight. My point is you're saying he never troubled anyone, but actually he's troubled everyone he's been in with apart from Fury. Yeah his resume is hardly stellar at this point, but he's only now getting opportunities for bigger fights. Think you need to stfu and get out of your mum's basement a little more.

Your point is simply trying to hype up a bum whose only significance is causing a cut on Fury and still losing the fight. Otto does not have anything that can trouble the big guys from what I have seen. Its not like he was KO'ing the the lower ranked fighters left, right, and center before he fought Fury. Dubois, for instance, fought a lot of no names too but at least he was impressive there. What has Otto done in boxing to make a case for himself? Therefore, him fighting Whyte is not an exciting fight because he has little to no chance in that fight.

Which is also why I say that this should NOT be a final eliminator and Whyte needs to fight someone who is ranked #2,#3, etc. to get the mandatory spot.

I just hope the WBC does not consider this as a final eliminator and forces Whyte to fight someone in the top 10, like Ortiz or Ruiz.
Unfortunately, the WBC has zero integrity like pretty much every other sanctioning body. A Whyte fight for the title, especially in England, gives them a bigger sanctioning fee. I believe the WBC has already said the Fury/Wilder winner must face Usyk in a unifications fight (Usyk needs to give Joshua his rematch, so that will not happen) or the winner of this fight next.

I do agree with you on this fight. Wallin is a fine boxer. We saw that with Fury. But he is one level below Whyte. Whyte will hurt him and win this one and get his perch as WBC #1 he lost with the Povetkin punch.

Has not fought one top 10 rated fighter other than Fury. So his easy wins are not enough to warrant him an eliminator fight. Or at least SHOULDN'T be enough if there were actual standards in the sanctioning organizations.

Relevance? We're discussing who he's troubled, not what level he's fought at. He was in obscurity before the Fury fight.
