You can't tell some nothing because they know everything.
Floyd has fought Champions, Undefeated fighters and top
guys throughout his career. I'm baffled to see how so
many try to ignore this fact? Plus he called out all the
other top guys when he was at 130/135. All of this is
    documented.

rest of the fight. The first Castillo fight was close but
Floyd gave him a rematch and beat him more decisively
which showed he could beat him. The Hatton fight Floyd
broke that man down technically and systematically. I
don't understand why some discredit Floyd's opponents
to make him look bad when in actuality Floyd fought
champions and undefeated fighters throughout his career
AND did it for 10 YEARS. Sure we want to see him fight
Cotto and Mosley BUT Floyd was before Cotto PLUS Arum
said Cotto wasn't ready for Floyd AND Mosley turned him
down twice. Clottey, Berto, Williams weren't even in the
picture when Floyd was fighting. I'm not just defending him
but only stating the fact that when it comes to Floyd whatever
he does is never enough and I don't think it is fair but that is
      just my opinion.
very good points..yeh floyd has been handling business against champions and top contenders for 10 years and counting..i find it funny that people like to say that pbf has been running from cotto..like u said, cotto's people already admitted that he wasnt ready face pbf when the opportunity was there..they felt cotto wasnt ready for a skilled technician like floyd..and if cotto cant get past paqman..then i dont think he will ever see pbf in the ring..reguardless, i would love to see cotto/pbf square off..it would be a very entertaining matchup..

It sounds more that he retired verbally, but technically, he was there training and waiting for the best opportune time to challenge the one he deemed he could beat and at the same time could give more money on the table. The way I look at it, it was more likely that he was cowering in the likes of Cotto and Margarito when he opted for retirement. Pac would prove him wrong to rise from his retirement though..

Alot of people who "watch" boxing refuse to realize he called out all the top fighters early in his career.

Ha ha ha ha! Margarito already proved his worth and Cotto
wasn't ready for Floyd when Floyd was ready for him. Cotto
was at 140 working on getting better when Floyd was at 147.
Cotto was at the Gatti fighter (R.I.P) and he know what it do.
I would love to see them square off but I think technically Floyd
is everything Cotto isn't as a well rounded fighter. The only thing
Cotto has over Floyd is a lil more power but everything else
Floyd trumps Cotto in my opinion. All a fighter needs to do
is put pressure on Cotto and he back peddles a lil and loses
a lil focus. I'm curious to see what Cotto does with Pac
because if he can't beat Pac then I don't know what to say.
Not saying that is a walk in the park but Cotto has the tools
            to beat Pac.

I agree too, fighters saw Floyd as a threat back then... it's only when he started making "money" when they call him out... and for the idiots who say he lost to zab, and was hurt... you guys are dumb and shouldn't watch boxing, Floyd obviously was just studying zab and letting him tee off... He was never hurt he got caught with 1-2 clean blows thats it... and the Castillio fight most punches that Castillio landed where glancing or lowblows... I havent seen one extremely huge punch landed CLEAN on Floyd... and I mean one of those punches that makes the crowd "ooh..."

True indeed. Mosley was/is a perfect example.

Do you honestly think that Mayweather was considered more of a threat than a prime De La Hoya at 147? You Mayweather fans kill me man. What Mosley did was similar to ignoring Berto and going after someone like Pavlik with the only difference being Mayweather is better than Berto. The fact is Mosley has wanted to fight Mayweather when De La Hoya has been out of the picture. Can't say the same about Floyd. Am I right or wrong about that?

yes, mosley wouldn't fight floyd unless the money was good enough to warrant it, but at the same time, there was no real reason for them to fight until floyd and shane both occupied the WW division.

And the only time that Mayweather expressed interest in fighting Mosley in these higher weight divisions is when Mosley had just had a fight with Vargas at 154, and Mayweather expected him to drain seven pounds to meet the November deadline after Mosley had just fought Vargas in September. But when they were both at 147 with De La Hoya as not part of the equation, Floyd bitched out when Mosley had just dominated Collazo and won the WBC interim title. I don't know what kind of money Mosley offered to Floyd. Grustler says it was $8 million. But even so, Mayweather didn't offer any money to Mosley when they were one division apart as a Lightweight and a Superfeatherweight that I know of. Mayweather became a sell out after his victory over De La Hoya and Hatton.

I think Mayweather would've came back against an easier opponent than JMM if HBO didn't hold him accountable for his cherry picking ways. Also Floyd better bring his A game on Sept 19 because JMM isn't coming to lay down.
