I kinda know what you mean. Imo AJ is a nice guy, but maybe too nice. He needs to be more nasty inside the ring, i know this is outside the ring but you should be devastated that you lost! Maybe angry and looking upset, not smiling and laughing like you don't give a ****. Regardless great win for Usyk, it was a great night.Comment

We have an amateur in our gym who recently busted up her opponent real good - had her bleeding from within the first minute of the match and beat her pillar to post. After the fight she went to the bathroom and helped clean her opponent up, and to her own credit the opponent let her do it.
Boxing breeds a special bond between fighters and a unique kind of sportsmanship - it is part of why we hope kids turn to the sport. I am skeptical of anyone who considers what AJ did to be weak, soft, etc., anything other than good sportsmanship. I would be very surprised to hear that sentiment from anyone who had actually boxed at any level themselves.
Joshua came up as an amateur and likely learned those lessons, as did Usyk, as have any of us who have laced up gloves from sparring through the pro game. Good on them both.Comment
