Anything besides deciding defeat is totally acceptable and something to laugh about.

Just because AJ is all smiles here doesn't mean he's not devastated to lose his titles in the manner that he did. He's well trained before the cameras and well versed in PR but 'legacy' is clearly very important to him and he'll likely be in a bad place for a while after such a humbling. Add to that his general positive outlook and the very likable Usyk and I'm not surprised by the pics of them both together, 2 top pros.

From best I could tell it seemed to be to hold center ring and counter off the jab.

          He doesn’t care enough.

If he did, he wouldn’t be cracking jokes with someone who kicked his ass.

AJ is not the same fighter from 4-5 years ago… he used to be a lot faster and hit much harder before. He’s a great guy that should retire.

Can't take anything away from his conditioning. May not be the best fighting physique, though.

Nothing at all wrong with humility. It's a good indicator of a healthy ego. But you carry on son, your display of emotional maturity is just so impressive.

Joshua really knows how to take the rough with the smooth; that's a really impressive trait that is rare.

I think it’s possible to be friendly with your opponent after losing a fight and still have a burning desire to win the rematch. They put on a good show for 12 rounds and that’s all that matters to me.

Well it’s not like they can have round 13 right there in the dressing room so why dwell on something you can’t change? AJ has a rematch clause and I’m sure he will exercise it. Then they will set a date and he will look to avenge his defeat.
