This is not a title you are exchaging here. Is a position in a ranking, wich is obtain by previous and recent wins and against who and how.

Just because you beat a guy doeant mean you get his spot in rankings!!!!
ur a dumbass did you see how shane beat the number 1 ww in margo? How does he not become the number one ww?? mean while cotto went on to get destroyed by margarito and barely escaped the fight with clottey how does that even make him the number one ww? This was the one of the worst articles ive read..

Yes Shane ****ed up when he said he was only looking for big money fights. It's just certain things you don't say. But he will get his chance. If blacks supported boxing in America like Mexicans, Pinoy's and Ricans. He would be in a different position. No doubt in my mind about that. Even though Shane is my favorite fighter along with Floyd, Jones, Tito, and Leonard. Shane could've mad $12 mill in a 3rd fight with Hoya but instead fought Winky. He also could have faced Tito. But instead of facing a tuneup fighter, he went on to face Winky. That's a big money fight also. He could've faced Floyd in 06. But I do believe dropping that weight and the timing couldn't have let that fight happen.

Jin Mosley messed up 3 big money fights for him. All are three fights he could've won. Also with the Cotto fight. He should have made Cotto and Margo fight each other first. He should've never fought Cotto at MSG, HBO looking for a new star, and being undefeated. Of couse everything Cotto throws the crowd is going to scream.

But like I said Shane is going to get his chance soon.

The writer of this article bases all of this off a lopsided decision of Mosley... 8 to 4? I had Mosley winning 115-113 the first time I saw it and that is in Cotto's turf. After several watches I have it a draw over and over. The writer acts like Cotto DOMINATED Mosley WHEN COMPUBOX HAD THEM LANDING EXACTLY THE SAME!!! Then of course, the young, up and coming fighter with a huge following gets the decision, its boxing.

So if the writer gives his own opinion and does it like that, Mosley can have his opinion that the fight was a draw and then after DOMINATING a fighter that beat down Cotto, he rightfully so is the #1 Welterweight.

This might have been the worst article on here and with all the Paq nuthugger stories on here thats saying something. The writer sounds like a jilted ex lover. Please do us a favor and you go away and throw away your computer so we dont have to read your senseless dribble anymore.

Mosley deserves it

No one wants to fight him because he's a has-been who can't draw a crowd.

Cotto did own him. That wasn't biased. 8-4 is how any sane person scored the match. Over time, people have tried to claim that Mosley started to take the end of the fight and that Cotto faded.

I challenge the morons who think this to watch it again, right now. Shane does well in rounds 1, 3, 9, and 10. At the end of the 10th, Cotto absolutely clocks SSM. Cotto then completely dominates round 11, and doesn't get touched in the 12th. He had plenty of stamina, was barely breathing, and flat-out schooled Shane for the entire fight.

We all know how the Margacheato fight happened. Cotto boxed Tony's face off for 6 rounds, and then a brick busted his nose. No more breathing = no more boxing. It happened so suddenly, and we all know Margo's never had one punch blast 'em out power.

Until Margarito can earn a name for himself again, we know one thing: Cotto beat Mosley and then Clottey (despite suffering a massive headbutt). Therefore, Cotto is the best Welterweight in the world.

Cotto owes Mosley nothing. Shane should just retire with the legacy he has and enjoy life before he suffers permanent brain damage.

There's a circle in the welterweight division and Mosley is standing on the outside. Same could be said for Clottey. This is a good matchup for both of them.

This catchweight mess going on right now will get figured out from now until the end of 2010. Unfortunately for Shane, he'll be pushing 40 by then.

Don't worry Shane....Mayweather, Cotto, or Pacquiao will be free in the beginning of 2011. You'll get your food boy.
