i respect shields for working hard, making history at the olympics, and being a solid boxer. that said, this sport is the ultimate form of capitalism. you get paid when you generate revenue and you need to be entertaining. she hasn't had a knockout in almost five years. her personality is fairly cringeworthy. she's not good looking. all of these things work against her and it's just a reality that she is paid what she is worth based on these factors.

It is genetics not sexism boxing is the worst sport for females. Females have less fast twitch muscle fibers (type 2) and narrow shoulders which is why girls punching looks so awkward. The big gloves take away what little power they have. Sports that utilize lower body strength like MMA, kickboxing, muy thai are better. MMA has small gloves.

I think your confused, Mosley got 5 million for Pac, he got 600k for Canelo, because that was when Canelo was 21 just coming up and fighting on the Cotto vs Mayweather undercard.

Depends how you define "big" when it comes to women fighters. Theres nobody as big as Ronda but she was literally a top 5 combat sports draw of the last decade, male or female. People like Nunes, Valentina, Rose, PVZ, Cyborg arent on her level but they are much bigger stars than Claressa, Katie Taylor etc.

Ronda was not spoon fed opponents either, thats total BS. Holm had been in the UFC for 9 months and had had 2 fights there when she got to fight Ronda for ****s sake, its not like she was kept away. And Nunes could have fought Ronda much earlier if she hadnt lost to Zingano, who got the title shot vs Ronda instead as a result and lost.
