I don’t know what she is bigging up MMA for, when Ronda Rousey’s biggest guaranteed purse was $3million. And Rousey was a big PPV seller, and that’s all she got. McGregor was a big PPV seller and that’s also all he got. $3 million guaranteed was his highest in UFC. Rousey really got the big bucks because she was not only good but also pretty. She advertised her looks, made movies, got into pro wrestling. Gina Carano is another one who was good and pretty. And Carano was earning in the low 6 digits.

So I don’t know what money she thinks she is going to earn in MMA. She needs to do big numbers, McGregor/Rousey numbers, to even sniff a million dollars.

McGregor’s guarantee for UFC 229 was $3 million. This is a guy who was already a guaranteed PPV seller. 1.2mill, 1.3 mill, 1.6mill, multiple times. 1 million+ multiple times. So did Rousey. She headlined PPV’s that sold a million multiple times. And her highest guarantee was $3 million.

Clarissa Shields is not entertaining to me to watch. She doesn't get knockouts. To me Shields is the female version of Rigondeaux. She can obviously box but people pay to see action and knockouts, neither of which she provides. Her mouth doesn't help her. She wants to be something that she isn't and that's a household name. I could never understand how she can only have 11 fights and claim to be so accomplished. It would help if she fought more names and got knockouts. Fighting female tomato cans won't help her either.
