Deontay Wilder Accidentally Admits To Ducking Joshua

He admits to ducking Joshua, taking less money to fight Tyson Fury off the couch, going through withdrawals, without any belts or anything on the line.

    No one believes this.

First off, Joshua isn't the type of fighter you duck. He's probably the biggest cash cow in the division, has multiple belts, and has shown vulnerabilities in the past.

If anything, everyone is gunning for Joshua.

Wilder admitted in a tweet that he turned down more money to fight Joshua to fight Fury and Fury should be thanking him. How else can you understand that? Turned down MORE money? Come on ... look at what he said.

Why do you need to believe it ? Wilder said it openly when criticizing Fury for stalling the rematch about taking the fight for less money which is obvious because Fury cannot generate what Joshua does .

No one believes it unless they are out of touch with reality .

Nothing new,it's well known and even admitted by himself that he turned down a $100mil dollar,3 fight deal from DAZN that would've led to an AJ showdown because Len or someone at DAZN hurt his feelings...or something along those lines.

Barry Hearn has publicly admitted turning down a 50mil offer from Team Wilder.

Funny enough, this tweet was swiftly deleted.

            Stop falling for Hearn lies.

Hey. It wasn't Eddie (or Barry) Hear who threw a number out there. It was Deontay himself. How can I fall for Hearn's statements when the statements didn't come from him? Watch the clip. You'll see. There are a lot of places covering these statements made by Wilder.

I dont know if "ducking" is the word but Wilder had been built up to 40-0 over the course of a decade (largely against poor competition) and i think they were hesitant to cash him out without milking everything they could get from negotiations first. The Fury fight to me came across like a horribly misjudged attempt at gaining more leverage in AJ negotiations.

Yet we know for a fact Whyte and Ortiz both avoided fights with him.

Oopps i forgot Fury too. He was offered a fight but chose a rematch with Wilder.

They may not of turned it down if Wilder and Finkel didn't put a 24 hour deadline on the offer and refuse to send over any terms or conditions or a contract. Maybe if they had sent over something more official than a 3 sentance email from Wilder himself when team AJ asked for it and if Finkel had actually had the meeting he was supposed to have with Hearn rather than cancel it, refuse to discuss the fight and turn his phone off it may of happened.
