It's a fact that Joshua turned down a 50mil offer from Wilder, despite Eddie Hearn claiming otherwise, and i'm sure that Wilder turned down offers from Team AJ.

Both guys ducked each other, just accept it and move the f*** on.

Not to be nitpicky, but, "the then chairman of Matchroom [Sports]"...who had already publicly stepped away from the boxing side of the company and hadn't had a hand in it for years at the time of that Tweet. Barry's statements speak for himself, not Matchroom Boxing. I'm only pointing that out because people (not necessarily you) often use Barry's words as evidence like they have some authority, but they don't.

Saying that, yes, by definition, Team AJ did indeed "turn down" $50m. An amount was "offered" and subsequently rejected. That shouldn't even be up for debate. It's public record. However, the validity of the offer is up for debate, and with good reason. Not just because of what Hearn has said, but also due to things that Team Wilder have said (and Frank Warren). There's a huge difference between turning down a dubious $50m when both sides are claiming the other is playing fast and loose, to, turning down $100m that all sides acknowledge was undoubtedly legit, because "they wouldn't tell us what AJ was earning, among other things. We'll reveal more in due course" (of which 0 "other things" have been revealed, conveniently).

Long story short, Team AJ have turned "offers" down citing contractual issues or have replied with a counter offer. Team Wilder have turned offers down because "the contract was only signed by Eddie, not AJ", "the offer of 5x our biggest payday, which is more than Wilder has earned in his entire career, is a lowball", or "they wouldn't tell us what AJ would earn"...all without producing a counter offer. The refusal to engage in basic negotiations from Team Wilder is very telling, very telling indeed. Just to reiterate, the above isn't solely based on what Hearn has said, it's also what Team Wilder have, and have not said.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Just watch Wilder's interview with power 105.1 when they brought up Joshua to him. There was a moment one of co-hosts told Wilder that AJ said he wouldn't face him unless he got to 50-0 (or something like that, it's been awhile) and you could clearly see in that moment on Wilder's face that he was sad/shocked because he knew it would be a difficult task and would more than likely NOT face Joshua if that was the case. Immediately the co-host burst out laughing and said, just kidding, he never said that and you could see the relief on Wilder's face and he started laughing like, Oh thank god.

It is moments like that, where you need to read the face and understand the human emotions of what is real or fake. What I saw there was a man legit saddened at the thought he would never get a chance to face Joshua if that was a legit demand. Then to immediately feel excited right after hearing it was fake what she said, shows to me how serious that man was to want to face Joshua. That's it, period. Any conversation you heard from Wilder and want to twist a narrative on it just because it helps feed your perspective means nothing to me. You can CLEARLY see on Wilder's face the truth there.
