He wont go down as a bum because he wont need to fight on past 5-6 losses, he can retire after losing to Fury again or choose to try again and lose when he steps up.
Unless of course he somehow manages to spunk all his $, have several baby mamas & then the possibility of becoming a journeyman into his 40's & suffering multiple KO losses becomes more real.

Bums don't become world title holders or go 12 with the recognized best heavyweight in the division.

This thought process is toxic and what's wrong with boxing fans who never stepped foot in the ring.

Believe be, bums don`t get bronze olympic medal and they are not WBC champs with many defenses. Not even in weak era.

          And bums are not millionaires.

It largely depends on how good Fury looks when (or tbh..IF) he moves on to facing other top ranked opponents. Its been SIX ****ING YEARS since Fury has fought an elite HW not named Wilder.

I don't understand the notion of bums can't medal at the olympics. Just because you represent your Country in boxing at the olympics doesn't mean you're some master-boxer. A lot of fighters from these none boxing Countries are awful.

He got gift decisions in the qualifiers he shouldn't have even qualified.
Then won 2 fights at the olympics against two awful opponents from two none boxing Countries, one being a terrible decision.

I don't know why we act like awful fighters don't get sent to the olympics. Algeria, Morocco, Brazil etc etc they have to send somebody to represent them.

He was literally gifted a spot then won two fights vs terrible opponents and one was a gift decision just because America needed someone to finally medal.

I also don't understand the thinking that bums can't win world titles especially in 2021 where many divisions are poor or wide open and there about 34653 titles out there and more being created by the week.

Was Leon Spinks not a bum? Wasn't he undisputed? Wasn't he also in fact an olympic gold medalist? In boxing terms he was a straight up bum despite his achievements and constantly being in the right place at the right time. Sometimes your lucky stars align.

Doesn't Manual Charr hold a title? What about Charles Martin? Bruce Seldon? Trevor Berbick?

There have been plenty of fighters who should really qualify as 'bums' capturing HW titles throughout history.

If a guy with nothing but a bazooka of a right hand isn't a bum then what is? He's a bum and so is a supposed world class fighter that can't take someones right hand away from them.

Its not like there is even any variation or a variety of set ups either he just throws out a measuring stick and launches some disgustingly telegraphed right hand behind it everytime. Its not like he throws a varied right hand or mixes up the speed or trajectory and keeps you guessing he just throws the same shot with the same set up but these opponents are so horrendous they can't avoid it.

People said Randall Bailey only had a right hand but compared to Wilder he was like Tommy Hearns.

Wilder is what he is. A failed NBA player with a big right hand that took up boxing late and never bothered to learn the sweet science.

You clearly don`t know what bums are.

Bums are club fighters. Guys with many losses, who are there to make journeymen and gatekeepers looking good.

Not a bum but completely average, his right hand has been his saving grace against your average Heavyweight

He's the Heavyweight Randall Bailey of this era.
