I dont blame Holyfield for wanting a payday if the opportunity was there. The issue is the opportunity SHOULDNT have been there, blame the people who sanctioned it.

Blame the sanction bodies and boxing in general all honestly for giving out such shhh products that people are tuning into and the marketing is better at moment for exhibitions wait years near decades for mega fights or even a champ vs champ. Literally gotta wait on ufc or exhibitions to watch ppv fights. Lastly blame holyfield n his management dude went through 300m no reason go through that much thats why him and tyson fighting not narcasim like mayweather but actual need of money there standard of living they need least 10m after tax tyson rebound and an entertainer im sure made 10m over time since being broke holyfield no acting dispensary comedy circuits podcast ect im 100% sure need it aint like boxers get a pension like nfl nba nhl yet treatment still better than MMA why u think so many fighting boxing. Boxers take home 60-80% UFC only splits 16% revenue with fighters very pedestrian especially knowing ppv gates n following exceeds boxing now where the ali act for such gone have to take us to see a legend like anderson silva chuck liddell go broke $ n health n rally round em for such to happen

Sulaiman is mad he couldn’t pitch his special WBC Aztec Platinum Exhibition belt for the event because a Mexican was not part of it. It was going to be for if DLH fought.

Mayweather KO’ing McGregor, and Holly Holm KO’ing Ronda Rousey are more telling than Belfort KO’ing a 58 year old Holyfield.

Holly Holm was also a kickboxer and had trained MMA for years at that point. She KO'd Ronda with a head kick for ****s sake.

Vitor beating an old man in boxing doesnt tell anything, but nothing needs to be told really, anyone with common sense knows MMA fighters are going to beat boxers more often than not as long as both sides can use their whole skillset in the fight. These boxing rules fights are meaningless.

holyfield lives in a small ass house these days. the money they offered him was probably too good to pass up, even if its a smaller amount than what he used to. he isnt homeless but he prob owes money to a lot of different baby mommas and what new money is coming in for him? maybe some licesnsing money here and there from chit from years ago. Figure even if it was "small" like 500k that is still a windfall for whatever his current income is.
