"The power of money and the few scruples of a few cannot be more important than integrity and security."

Can't believe they made this statement 1 week after they allowed Valdez to fight, after he was found to be using PEDs???

Sulaiman is the same dude who said he’d rank Tyson for a wbc belt leading into tysons exhibition. Don’t act like he has any integrity.

Although I think the ref could've let the fight go on a wee bit longer, to see if Holyfield would fight back, he did of course look much slower and all that.

I don't have much, if any, respect for Suleiman and the WBC, and all the crap they have gotten into, so he's not one we should listen to.

I agree with him. This was a bad idea. I wasn't interested in the card or this match in particular. It was only in the final days that I was intrigued to see Evander since he's a legend in the sport. But within seconds reality reared its ugly head.. Holyfield is not the Holyfield of old. And neither should we have expected him to be that same fighter. I was delusional to think that at 58 he could at least be a shred of who he once was. But 58 is simply too old in boxing to even offer a good performance. In his 40's, okay, maybe.

Holyfield was too old for this but I also don't think he did it to enhance his legacy or to extend it. I think a financial opportunity came up and he took. Can we blame him? I don't blame these fighters for wanting to make some money for them and their families. I just hope these remain exhibition bouts rather than actual competitive match ups.
