Felix Diaz. Not on Porter's level obviously, but similar style I thought.

I hope Bud isn't ****** like Spence was and slug it out with him. If he fights smart he could possibly stop Porter, but has to hit him hard enough to slow his attack, or it will be an ugly close fight.

Crawford's contract with Top Rank is up coming October, so let us see how this plays out. Arum is an old Fox, so Crawford better have his lawyers painstakingly go over any signed agreement to fight Porter with fine teeth comb.

“We talked to PBC as late as yesterday and it looks like Porter is on board or close to being on board, and hopefully, Terence will be on board and we’ll announce that fight next week hopefully,” Arum told ESNews in an interview published Sept. 9.

Not a good sign, when you don't know if your own fighter is onboard!

Diaz in that fight fought like Lartey. I didn't see a Porter skillset that night.

But ironically, that fight is a good example for why I think Porter has the advantage.

Crawford doesn't fight like that at welterweight. He tries, fails, gets angry and reverts to swarming, waiting for a BS ref stoppage.

That's why one-legged Benavidez, Khan and Brook were taking rounds off him with the jab - Crawford's timing and accuracy isn't what it used to be for whatever reason.

He's not going to outswarm Shawn Porter. Period.

The only style I see troubling Porter is the version of Crawford that fought Ricky Burns, but I say Crawford can't box that brilliantly anymore. Because he hasn't at welterweight.

I see a clear UD win for Bud with a KD at some point. A lot of people think Shawns gonna bull rush him with that swarming, rough style & Buds not gonna be able to handle it. I think Buds just too sharp. Porter will try it, he’ll eat a few sharp hard right hands and then think twice about it. Bud moves too well, and has that twitchy hand speed early in fights

I think porters best shot is to fight like he did against Danny Garcia. He mixed it up. He didn’t try to just smother Danny all night like he did against Thurman and Spence. I felt that was the most controlled and effective version of him. And I think that’s probably more likely gonna be the style he implores against Bud.

So yeah clear win for Bud with Porter having some moments like he always does. And then people will say “porters been in too many wars” “too much mileage” Spences left overs” etc. hopefully we get Bud vs Spence after this. I doubt it. Spence is gonna get Ugas probably mid 2022, Buds gonna get ****** into another TR extension to fight Taylor & and then before we know it it’ll be 2023 and the same song and dance between these two.
