This has to be one of the saddest days in my 50 years of watching boxing.

The only thing that was missing is Belfort picking up Holyfield's wallet and running away. It was that pitiful.

A lot of bad calls were made before the bell even rang.

No, he truly didn’t. Holyfield will be 59 in a month. This isn’t gladiator where we are guaranteed a death at every event. Holyfield had no business in there. If he let it go on and Holyfield dies because of his age it’s on the ref and he’d be run from the sport. If he stops it to save him from himself he’s awful. He was in a no win proposition for a match that should never have been sanctioned in the first place. Holyfield was wrecked by the first marginal body shot and his body language couldn’t have been hidden..

That stoppage probably would’ve looked bad under normal boxing circumstances. But since everyone knew that they somehow allowed a near 60 year old who’s clearly damaged mentally and physically from years of boxing, it was the right call. Actually the right call would’ve been to never allow this nonsense event to have happened in the first place.

Yeah, the poor bastard was so uncoordinated it was like watching a spastic epileptic try to dance the macarena. When you nearly KO yourself trying to throw a punch, you know there's only going to be one winner. A sad day for boxing.

That fight was totally embarrassing, the vast majority of members here could have beat Holyfield last night and i'm not joking. He's a fragile old man, everyone involved should be ashamed.

                      I sure
hope Holyfield was paid well and intelligently invests this money and makes better choices than he did when he was you get and blew through all of his money with ludicrous purchases and child support from having too many out of wedlock kids. The reason he is back and the reason he fought on so long losing to sub par competition was because he needed the money. Just sad sad stuff.
