Lopez won eight rounds, he had Loma scared to throw. We don't need a second fight. Loma will probably get knocked out in a rematch.

It's obvious why he won't give Loma a rematch. Loma had him figured out extensively in the second half an I'm not sure I recall Teo winning a rd at that point. Sure, Loma didn't do jack the first half and it basically costed him the fight, but on that same token, Lopez didn't do much either. He barely touched Loma but was still more "active" which gives him those rds. At that point Loma started firing, he couldn't miss Lopez and was landing crazy combinations. You had the feeling if Loma had more time, he would of eventually hurt Lopez bad but at that point, bell rang, fight was over.

I could see a rematch that Loma picks up where he left off, ooooorrr, because of how long ago the first fight was now, Loma just might be hesistant AGAIN to throw in the first half.

Loma almost got knocked out in the last round. "Figured out". Y'all in denial.

lol, just look at any highlight reel of the fight. It's all Loma. I recall head snapping punches consistently landing from Loma when he got moving. I don't remember any standout punch from Lopez at all in the entire fight. Yes, he won the fight, but he left zero impression that he throughly dominated Loma. If you're going to take it from the champion, you got to really take it from them. Not just play defense in the first half, get picked apart in the second half, and then claim, you won, done, over, no rematch, no more business. That is a rather cowardly act.

A rematch would be the biggest payday fight for Lopez currently. He was fighting for his life that second half and knows damn well he won't be so lucky twice.

            His fans know it too.

He beat Loma fair and square he shouldn't NEED to fight him again. But at the same time if Lopez won't fight Haney, Garcia keeps hiding and Tank is off doing is in house 2nd tier fighters only thing then Teo hasnt got a million options at 135 but a Loma rematch is an option.

Personally I think Teo fought close to as well as he could while Loma made some bad decisions and could of done more in that fight early on but that's just my opinion so in my opinion a rematch is not guaranteed to go the same way as their 1st and it was a good fight.

But I'm not sure I'd want to label him a duck if he doesn't want to run it back.
