Now that Oxon Hill is in the DMV area we have seen quite a few good fights there. It’s actually very convenient to get to, so is Florida too. NY isn’t too far ether. When Atlantic City used to be wide open that was wonderful, went to crap fast though.
Back to thread topic, some of you posters have really been to some real special ones! Hope C-19 allows us to keep attending stadiums and arenas.

Yeah it was a great night. I had a blast. Did I see you say you were at Floyd vs Hatton? Im jealous of that one.

Did the MGM really run out of beer?

My first card I attended was Floyd vs Sosa and Cotto was on the undercard. Will always remember that card and how all the advertising done before the fight was about the Alcorn vs St. John fight lol.

Floyd vs Maidana I was also great.

Ward vs Kessler was dope (Almost all Ward fight cards were awesome just with how the crowd is)

Ramirez vs Reed (Beterbiev looked so average, the crowd was booing throughout the fight lol)

Like you, a lot of the best fight cards are local cards without big names. But these were some of the cards I enjoyed or remember vividly.
Any fight between two Hispanic fighters from socal either at Staples or StubHub will always draw a crowd and be memorable. I was there for Ortiz vs Josesito and it was crackin, one of the best fights I've been to. Another was Lucas vs John molina...made friends with a group of Argentinians who were handing out thier native flags to anyone who wanted one and just joined in shouting "Concha de su madre" or something like that.. Was there with my brother, our wifes and a couple family friends who were just casuals and to this day, they still bring it up as one of the best sporting events they have ever been to.

Been to a lot of live fights but 2 of the most memorable ones were the following….

#1 Saw Acelino Freitas vs Jorge Barrios at the old miami arena and me and my bro snuck down to ringside and sat right next to Floyd Mayweather Sr. and Panchito Bojado. Mayweather was super humble and he kept making faces when all the fine ass Brazilians and Argentinian women were passing by. Barrios was a huge Argentinian underdog never fought in the US against the Brazilian reigning 130lb champ frietas in Miami. The fight was amazing, Barrios dropped Frietas, Barrios was gushing blood and use the referee shirt to help him clear his vision haha and he was winning the fight but in round 11 Frietas landed a huge right hand that froze Barrios and he looked like he got shocked by one of those hand buzzer things people use for pranks and got dropped but got up. Barrios got stopped in the 12th.

#2 went to see Kendall Holt vs Ricardo Torres first fight in Barranquilla,Colombia which was Torres hometown. My wife is from there and I bought tickets for my wife and my father in law. She’s never been to a live fight and for some odd reason she wore a white dress. We sat 2 rows from the ring, holt comes out and drops Torres and is winning the fight easily but out of nowhere Torres landed a huge hook on holt that put him on ***** Street, that’s when all hell broke loose. Bottles of whiskey and Beer cans were being thrown In the ring due to the excitement of Torres hurting Holt. Me and my father in law got hit with a couple of cans protecting my wife. Wild ass ending holt’s leg was being held by Torres cornermen so Torres can tag him. Holts getting hit by bottles and the ref waves it off. Torres wins and everybody got in the ring, i swear everybody was on that Colombian gold that night. Wife had holts and Torres blood on her dress. It was amazing, every time I visit her dad he tells the story of the fight

Man, this is one of those lesser known fights that is one of my all-time favorites. I remember watching this one on television and it was incredible. You had the South American rivalry going. La Hiena looked menacing (I think he was wearing goggles) as he came in the ring. The fight was fought with bad intentions and there was a tense buzz during the fight. You could feel either one could stretch the other with one shot. Freitas came back and stopped him. Your description of Barrios is spot on, looked like he got tased or something.

Your #2 fight with Torres and Holt is crazy too. I remember seeing grainy footage of the chaos during that fight.

            Thanks for commenting.

I think the arena did yeah. I remember it wasn’t even worth trying to get a beer inside the MGM arena on fight night cause the queues were just ridiculous. The bars inside the hotel didn’t run out though, I think people have probably exaggerated that bit.

haha yeah Barrios came in with googles. I was happy for him when I saw him years later win a 135lb belt when he destroyed Mike Anchondo in Miami. Barrios was a tough son of a *****, unfortunately his life didn’t pan out well after retiring.

Crawford Khan at MSG. Teofimo was on undercard.

None of the fights were competitive but the crowd was hilarious. When Khan started crying about lowblows it was LMAO and then the boos, people throwing shi*t. Got to see Teofimo do a backflip live after homerun KO...

Pretty good night of boxing and because TC aint a draw (sadly) the tix were cheap. 10/10 would LMAO again

Hopefully, my first one is a good one! Maybe I can make it to Vegas one day when the kids are a little older. For now, I hope to catch some amateur fights if possible, but the whole vaccine passport situation here has me doubting that will be possible either.
