I think 20 fights is a good barometer for a boxer..

True dat doe, 20 'cans' can leave you damaged.............Rockin'
What separates a can from a Joe ?
      I will tell you.

''Cans'' typically can't do shlt else but ''fight'' to make money. They know winning is not in their future and a laughable resume is to be expected.
I'm not talking about past prime contenders. I'm talking about those no hopers who get KTFO every other fight right out the gate.

It's usually a bad career choice to fight a bunch of cans, be it at the start of a career or at any point. You get the least amount of $$$$ and no credit.

Boxing fans are the biggest internet thugs online.

        A-class e-thugs.

So many boxer’s lives ruined and boxing fans have the luxury to point fingers on which young fighter needs to fight who. None of you care about fighters like Magomed Abdusalamov or Jeanette Zapata do you?

You just sit there, make believe you are all tough guys who can get past 20 tomato cans undefeated and belittle fighters who are actually in there risking their health and life.

I love this thread, it brought out all the clowns. It’s exposing boxing fans at least a little bit.

In a dangerous sport like this, No young fighter should be rushed, Gabe Flores Jr. most recently is a remind of that. Kid is 21 years young, ZERO reason to rush him...not to question Bruce Tramper and Bob Arum, they're the absolute best at developing and building up young talent in this great sport BUT that proved to be just too big of a leap for young Gabe and I hope it is not something that effects and he never recovers because that would be sad.

Keep these kids off TV, go back to burying them on Prelims and let them EARN a spot on TV
Great post. You get it man.

Boxing is going to have to go through a change anyway. Watch. The brain injuries and deaths are not going to keep getting ignored. It does not matter how little fans care. There will need to be a change.

E-thug? For pointing out how much flexing you doing in this thread.

First you create a thread where you and you alone have an opinion that no-one understands. You keep bring up levels, its actually common sense honestly.

you steer the narrative of the thread to bring up past experiences in a boxing gym. Is that what picks you up as a super fan and gained untouchable knowledge?

you seem to know a lot of boxing as a whole, but you come off as a douche. Js, have a nice day.

The fans who talk the most sh.t about young underdeveloped fighters needing to step up quickly are probably the most uncoordinated, unathletic fans out there. It’s always those who know nothing about sports in practice who ask the most out of athletes.

Fighting cans is a BS way to start a career?

What do you know about starting any sports career? How many fighters have you trained?
Hold up. What? I didn't say young undeveloped fighters need to step up quickly. Where did I say that? Go ahead, quote me...

I said fighting 20 cans is a BS way to start a career. Good competition is good competition. Obviously a newbie starts at the bottom and steps up as he goes along. But I turn off fights where the young guy steps in with a fighter 12 inches shorter than him. And though there's a place for fights where the 12-0 prospect (or thereabouts) faces the 12-8 guy, 10 or 20 of those is a little much.

              So slow your roll.

Now if you want to make assumptions about me and my prowess, athletic ability, fitness, etc. I couldn't care less. You don't jack about me. Setting up a straw man and knocking it down is just smoke and mirrors; it doesn't prove anything on your side.

“You steer the narrative to bring up past experience in a gym”.

I made one post where I said I boxed and could not do any thing due to medical issues.

                How is that flexing?

You have to be special to find that flexing.

I understand if I was in here lying about going 100-0 in the amateurs and then becoming injured and having to drop my aspirations.

But the post mentioned how I did not even fought in the amateurs due to medical issues with my eyes.

Which btw, these medical issues were not an issue to play in literally any other sport that is not combat. Which goes to show the toughness of boxing and how it is not as easy to make it in as you thugs think it is. The post went way over your head, which I am not surprised about. The majority of you seem to have an IQ which borders legit mental re tard ation. This post goes to show it even further. You just don’t get anything through that thick skill of yours.

Wonder what happened to the point in this thread. Benavidez is only 24, yet he's not being babied like 30 yr old Charlo is and others. See the contradiction?

Exactly, plus has everyone forgot about fights like Leonard-Hearns 1, Sal Sanchez-Azumah Nelson, Ali-Liston, Manzini-Arguello, just to name a few. Young guys stepping up and making a name for themselves. Even Trinidad-Vargas was an amazing fight and great performance by Vargas and let everyone know they are the real deal.

Young champs have to step up. Those early step up fights are what make careers stand out.

some arent even young though, you get fighters like tank who at 27 is a grown man being talked about as if he is some young prospect straight out of high school, 'he still young and learning'
