And if his last name was Gonzalez, you would be cutting back on the the drama queen superlatives.

I read a lot about how he controls distance, okay, that he does. But if he fights off his back foot the whole night then the judges will just give Canelo the benefit of the doubt for being the aggressor, ergo the 'ring general'. And for the moments that Plant tries to stand in the pocket, the judges will further award Canelo because he is, 'making Plant fight his (Canelo's) fight."

Lets say he does stick and move well though, and peppers Alvarez with jabs all night, out landing him. We've seen that before, out landing Canelo doesnt give you the nod (unless you are money making A-side Mayweather). Canelo will get the benefit of the doubt that his punches are more impactful by whatever factor it takes to give him the round. We've heard it before following Canelo fights, "you don't win with a jab", and when it comes to beating Alvarez that seems to hold true.

Maybe Plant KO's him......yeah doubt that. Canelo has a great set of whiskers, and Plant just aint that type of fighter.

This aint me hating on boxing, I'm just being honest here. If someone who favors Plant could explain how they think he would get actual judges to give him more rounds than they give Canelo I'd love to read it. And this assumes he's actually able to do this against Canelo, who is a great fighter.
I would say that if Canelo wasn't such a superb body puncher, the fight could be closer. But thats like saying if Hearns didn't have power or Leonard didn't have speed....but Canelo can weaken a fighter to the body and once that happens, the fighting spirit of his opponents wane.

Caleb doing a little to much talking you noticed canelo hasn’t said one word All canelo opponents say the same things before they mauled down they think canelo is the same fighter as when he fought Floyd and Lara they keep making that same mistake thinking canelo hasn’t evolved

That’s why they going to keep losing to him because you don’t beat canelo by out boxing him he has evolved since the Lara and Floyd fight you have to back him up make canelo use his legs they keep trying to move on canelo they going to get mauled down Because he’s very elite when it comes to cutting the ring off and once them body shots starts landing is a wrap

Exactly, you aint outboxing Canelo. For someone to beat him they gotta have a good set of whiskers and go toe-to-toe with him; either with volume or power.

It’s rather tacky or unrealistic to read what Plant’s talking about. You’re rated on who you’ve beaten. Plant knows that. So it seems like he’s just selling the fight…

as a matter of fact, I don’t even sense a lot of hype for this fight, so Haymon is probably urging Plant to be as vocal as possible. Canelo’s getting his guarantee…
