Are you ****ing ******? I think you're a little slow. I'm not even talking about whether or not I like DAZN. All I'm doing is pointing out how they failed because they bet on Canelo being able to market their brand. Clearly Canelo is not the most marketable athlete. Is that clear to you? Do I need to explain in smaller words? DO YOU SPEAK ENGLISH? CAN YOU UNDERSTAND?

No. Canelo and many Latino boxers and soccer players are the most famous and known. The only reason some people know who Woods is is because he was able to pay for cable TV in, say, Turkey and heard his name. The Tennis players are known only to tennis fans. Go to any random non- English speaking country and ask anyone in the street if he knows who Woods is hahaha. Now ask if he knows who Ronaldo is.

Tennis players are undoubtedly known all over the world, that’s an absolutely ludicrous statement.

Tiger Woods was literally one of the premier faces of Nike for over a decade. To suggest he’s unknown in non-English speaking countries is even more ludicrous.

It's a terrible list. It is designed to annoy people and therefore get publicity for the company that made the list.

Put Ronaldo as number 1 footballer in the world, no one bats an eyelid. Put a female footballer ahead of him, you get noticed. Put three female footballers in your top 10 and make your top 3 athletes overall as women and now you've got people taking.

By their own narrow metrics, Ronaldo kicks Simone Biles' backside. He posts more frequently on socia media, he has far more followers (not just a few more, a massive multiple more). Paul Pogba (48th on the list) has about 5 times as many twitter followers as Simon Biles and nearly 7 times as many instagram followers.

And of course, the proof of the marketability is in the earnings.

I don't participate in popularity threads but I agree. I don't know what the threshold is but if this is based, let's say, out of 100 athletes and only 3 boxers made it within the top 89, and Davis is the 3rd guy, I can see how it pisses off almost half of NSB, especially his hardcore white haters, like that 4truth guy and DaNeutral (who said he wouldn't have minded if Davis broke a few bones in that airplane accident).

Unfortunately, cheerleading for or hating one content platform or another is more about racial pride than about business or boxing. People who can't read a profit or loss statement, or even know how to spell economics, will opine on the matters they know nothing about to make some sort of statement to slam or support a particular race or ethnic group...go figure!
