I don't get it...neither of these guys are worth their salt and people are hyping them up for what now? I don't get it. In my honest opinion, neither guy does much for the sport but they want the sport (fans) to embrace their horrible trash talk with no chance of a fight ever happening!?
Hard to watch, but hey, what can we really do?Comment

This is boxing these days. Haney is top 135lb not because of his actual real life boxing resume, it’s because he was able to call out everybody and nobody wants to fight him hahaha which is such a lie. I don’t know who would be scared of Haney especially after the Linares fight.I don't get it...neither of these guys are worth their salt and people are hyping them up for what now? I don't get it. like you stated they need to stop paying these guys millions of dollars and hyping them up as the next Mayweather FOHComment

At this rate, Haney is going to be forced into taking a big risk (i.e. moving to 140lb and facing Prograis). I keep hearing that Haney is nothing to be afraid of, but everyone has their reasons why they don't need/want to fight him.Comment

Thank you! I was getting there but you said it right....these guys (like Haney) already came into the sport with the "bling", cars and homes, etc.,....so, is there anything for him to truly work towards since "the look of things" seems to be his focus.

You'd think this dude had Floyd's career, just judging by his possessions and attitude about it...and I catch myself asking, "Who is this guy anyway?" As you said, nobody sees him as a threat and he's sure nobody wants to fight him.
I swear I can't make this up. These guys come into the sport with their ***elry, cars, clothes, women, etc., and want you to treat them like accomplished fighters when they've done very little.

Oscar said Haney vs. Jo Jo is a no go!
Oscar De La Hoya Denies Jo Jo Diaz Will Challenge Devin Haney
August 27, 2021
Oscar De La Hoya of Golden Boy Promotions denies Joseph ‘Jo Jo’ Diaz Jr. is in negotiations to challenge WBC lightweight champion Devin ‘The Dream’ Haney next in November.
Instead, De La Hoya re-Tweeted a post saying that Jo Jo Diaz (32-1-1, 15 KOs) will be fighting Ryan Garcia next. Assuming that Diaz Jr. beats Ryan Garcia, the best move for Golden Boy would be to wait until Haney, and Teofimo Lopez both move up to 140 before letting Jo Jo fight for a world title at 135.
By making that move, it would greatly increase the chances of him winning a world title.
On Thursday, Haney’s promoter Eddie Hearn told the DAZN Boxing Show that he’d started talks for Devin to defend against Jo Jo Diaz Jr. in November. Hearn sounded confident that he’d be able to find the right number to get the Haney vs. Diaz fight made. Not long after the interview by Hearn, De La Hoya posted on Twitter that there is “No Truth” what was said about Joseph Diaz Jr fighting Haney next.
Boxing fans on social media don’t understand why De La Hoya is resistant to the idea of Jo Jo Diaz Jr. fighting Haney (26-0, 15 KOs) for his title, considering that he defeated Javier Fortuna in a WBC-ordered lightweight title eliminator a month ago on July 8th to become Devin’s mandatory.
