The ropes held Jake Paul up in round 4

Whats the official rule on that? I thought it was if a fighter holds on to the ropes to stay up its a knockdown.

Is it just a referee decision?

I've seen this go both ways many times. I recall the ropes keeping Tony Thompson up after he had already been down in the David Price rematch and no count was given then either. This was the only round Woodley won, I think he would have won if he let his hands go, but throwing 5 punches over 8 rounds is not winning you a fight. Nash out

Woodley wins the fight if the ref gets the right call called . I said I’d stay away from this one exactly because of a Jake house . Woodley won a SD here off the official cards . There’s nothing worse getting a right pick and losing money if you bet on it due to favorism or incompetence, glad I was right on not touching this one .

Deontay was kept up by the ropes in the second Fury fight and Tyson never got the KD.

Kenny Bayless was looking after his boy.

it was off balance and he went through the ropes he had to grab the ropes to pull himself back through the ropes.

Now that I had more time to see the fight, I am convinced that any decent boxer would either school jake paul or hurt him bad. He is bad at setting up punches and he loads up a lot. It's just that his opponents haven't been able to exploit his mistakes because they are too green at boxing themselves. Paul talking about fighting canelo....Stay away from canelo....he will counter paul all night and KO him. It would be a slaughter. Better yet...keep doing these types of fights with amateurish opponents/ noob boxers/washed mma guys and stay away from any legit boxer. Sheesh...

Definitely should have been a count. Paul is a bum, Woodley with only a few months training gave Paul (who has been training 3 years and had a couple of divisions size advantage) all he could handle.

                  He has no stamina.

If I'm a boxer fighting Paul, I keep him behind a jab for a couple of rounds and then bust him up as soon as he starts breathing heavy.

A Canelo fight wouldn't even get sanctioned.

i wasnt watching his punching very close but i noticed tyron slipping A LOT of his punches, telling me he telegraphs bad.

As for canelo, he doesnt have to wait for jake to tire, he is very good at closing the distance and getting inside on larger guys. Jake falls over from the first hard hook to the body.
