    How did PBC scuttle it?

Did the arbitrator work for PBC? Did PBC hold Tyson Fury at gunpoint and make him sign a rematch clause?

Also, in terms of DAZN 'stealing' Canelo:

First, Canelo is not non-sentient chattel. A human being has a right to work for whom they want.
Second, Canelo is not tied to anyone. This was a natural state of play to move to given his popularity. Are DAZN involved in his next fight? If not, in what manner have they stolen him?
Third, Canelo's reasons for ditching GBP was Oscar himself and we know what he didn't like about Oscar because he has said what they are. Namely, Oscar's drinking and Oscar's lack of involvement in what was going on. DAZN cannot be blamed for Oscar's drinking. DAZN cannot be blamed if Oscar does nothing at his own promotional company.

The fight was blocked via the chosen actions of a team under the PBC banner.

The arbitrator and the rematch clause were the mechanisms by which they were able to enforce the choice they made.

I'm not saying they didn't have a legally entitled right to it; that has been decided. I say nothing about the rightness or wrongness of it. But it's ridiculous to say they were not the reason the Fury-Joshua fight didn't proceed.

The flaw in dazn is actually very simple….you can’t build franchise fighters on it. It will NEVER appeal to the American sports fan. If that hurts going down for Eddie Hearn fans in the U.K. then that’s their issue. No star has been made on dazn. Dazn could have only worked if every already made star from American boxing moved to it. That didn’t happen so it didn’t work. All we have to do is look at every major fight or proposed fight before someone got COVID or injured was a pbc fight this year
Well said! You are one hundred percent correct. I just don't see how DAZN expects to build new stars and expect to expand the sport of boxing stateside by taking it entirely off of linear television; Where the majority of the fighters would hardly ever get any type of mainstream notoriety or recognition by the casual crossover audience.

DAZN did c*ckblock Canelo's opponent choices last year while he was with Golden Boy, which contributed heavily to the split.

Eddie Hearn directly benefitted by getting Canelo for a few fights and surprise, surprise. The requirement for "premium opponents" suddenly went out the window.

Strange that Canelo doesn't say this. Glad we have you to give us the inside scoop and tell us what Canelo really thinks rather than what he thinks he thinks.

Do you actualy think it is peculiar that when DAZN didn't have the exclusive contract with Canelo and were instead working on a fight-by-fight basis that they were willing to have a bit more give than take when it came to the give-and-take of who he was fighting?

It seems crushingly obvious to me that this is the way the world works.

That is never addressed, never. That is totally ignored.

Espn, showtime, dazn, triller. Glad I'm not paying in America.
Boxing unfortunately has been cut up & sold off in pieces like any takeover to make more money for promoter's and tv exec's.
4 belts again cut up & sold in pieces creating 8 or 12 champions at each weight.
Boxing is in no way shape or form a sport any more with most belt holder's never having even faced a top 2 boxer at they're own weight.
I'm in my 50th year & looking back at a great era like say the 90s we were complaining then about 3 belts. How lucky we were.
