Hooker isn't "much tougher" than Dulorme or Lipinets. And Mean Machine is probably on that level as well, or maybe a tad bit better but he's getting overhyped as well. These guys are all on similar levels.

I would have rather prefer Boots face someone like Clayton since he is more defensive and would make him think more, but we kind of know how that fight ends as well.

The problem with Boots is that he is not signed to one of the top promoters. He's not going to get the names we want him to fight unless he just becomes a mandatory and gets his shot that way. Why the hell would Haymon throw him Stanionis when he doesn't have to? Ramos? Nope....He will only get guys like Lipinets from the PBC. Any top name or contender? Not until he signs with Haymon...He's not getting guys like Ellis unless he signs with GBP...He won't get guys like Benn unless he signs with Matchroom.

I believe Boots should be free to sign with any promoter now. He's going to have to soon. Signing with a lower level promoter works for only so long.

Such a position and win against the Lithuanian would give Boots an opportunity against James for a mando spot, title eliminator outing under the WBA.

seems Haymon is saving time to allow the pandemic to ease out, making future Boots fights bigger
      This guy always embarrassing himself.

Hooker has been a world champion who defended his belt several times. And Kavaliuskas dropped Terence Crawford.

To me those are better scalps than Lipinets and Dulorme. There's a reason Vergil Ortiz has climbed to the top of the rankings. But opinions vary.

Anyway, Boots shouldn't feel forced to sign with a top promoter. If he wants to remain a free agent he can do it but he has to be aggressive about becoming a mando.

Hooker being a world champion means what? Lipinets was a champion as well...Mean Machine dropped Crawford? Cool, also proceeded to get his ass beat vs Crawford shortly after and looked terrible vs Robinson.

Again, these guys are all on similar levels. Dulorme has a draw vs Vargas, close loss vs Ugas and was very competitive vs Stanionis. Heck, you want to bring up Kavaliauskas dropping Crawford? Dulorme won three rounds vs Crawford and was out landing him until he got stopped. Since when did Kavaliauskas become this beast of a fighter? No one was saying a damn thing about him before he fought Crawford...Then he proceeded to get dropped five times vs Ortiz.

Lipinets/Dulorme/Clayton/Mean Machine/Hooker...They would all make for good competitive fights but none of the fighters I listed is levels above the rest. All on similar levels as I stated.

Cool, Boots can continue being left out of the mix then and he better hope he gets a mandatory shot soon. He can do as he pleases but good luck without signing to a top promoter.

Lipinets picked up a vacant IBF belt and defended it exactly 0 times, losing it in his first outing. Hooker is more accomplished than that.

At least Mean Machine showed something by dropping Crawford. What has Dulorme ever shown? And he'll be coming off two straight losses when Boots faces him. That's a sucky opponent choice after Lipinets...a backwards step instead of a forward one.

Why are you leaving out WHO Lipinets lost his title to?

What has Dulorme ever shown? You want to bring up Mean Machine dropping Crawford? Did Dulorme not drop Ugas and Vargas in back to back fights? Vargas got two points taken away from him vs Ugas for low blows...If he didn't he beats Ugas by decision. And then he is coming off a tight fight with Stanionis.

Mean Machine has a good win over Avaneysan, and that's about it. You are lying to yourself if you think this man's resume or performances show he is levels above Dulorme.

What’s the game being run on this one? Is Dulorme coming off a loss, prison, short notice?

Yes. Ennis’ team is running a chickensht outfit. They should be more confident in the guy.

How long ago was all that?

Dulorme has 3 losses in his last 5 fights. He's a garbage opponent for Boots who should be building off of the Lipinets win. Not taking a step backwards.

That's how I feel about it.

That's fine if that's how you feel about it...All I'm saying is Mean Machine has shown NOTHING thus far to say he is a level above the guys I listed...They are all on a similar level...Not huge threats to the top dogs but just solid fighters...Nothing more, nothing less.

And three losses in his last five fights? Yep, to guys like Ugas, James and Stanionis while drawing with Jessie Vargas. Maybe all he needed was a few fights against the likes of Zewski's of the world to look good............
