        No they won't.

How was Kostya overrated? He was one of the great amateurs and took on a high level of competition at the very beginning of his pro career. Despite that he wasn't exactly a name in the States.

Who was the more hyped up boxer at the time, Zab Judah or Kostya Tszyu? How did the fight end up?

He layed the blueprint for fighters that came after him, just ask Ali.
He may have been one of the first maestros of the game but fighters from those eras would not touch the top shelf of this generation , boxing has come along way in advanced techniques power and training over the last hundred years , those guys were great for thier day but dont compare them to the modern greats , its like saying Bob Fitzsimmons would beat Tyson Lewis or Ali , old Bob with that style would get embarrassed .

Fitzsimmons fought in the late 1800's. Pep fought when Muhammad Ali was fighting. There's a difference.

Muhammad Ali was likely inspired by Ralph Dupas and Willie Pastrano (or atleast learned more than a few tricks from them) who were with Angelo Dundee at the time, both noted defensive artists of the game. He also stated Sugar Ray Robinson as an idol of his.

Robinson on the other hand was inspired by late 1920's boxer Kid Chocolate. Who was the best boxer he ever saw in Ray Robinson's opinion? Willie Pep.

Yeah your right there is a difference but the analogy is the same Pep was old school his style was from pre Ali , Robinson was the one that started the ball rolling into the modern fighter I think Pep was just before this in his style , I mean the tapes are there to see and I dont think its hard to see the difference in the modern fighters in terms of precision power and speed , everything moves forward over time .

Now that makes sense. I pretty much have been saying that forever but it comes out a little more rudely. but yeah thats a wrap up of the whole subject.

Now that was real running when Saddle started whoopin that head. I think it is just trendy to put him in the same class with fighters today. Young guys trying to sound like savants and all well rounded and ****. HAHA. At best Pep gets pointed out by Donaire at FW. MAyweather.Pernel. Just stop it.
Well he did have 241 fight to be fair... your gonna be caught at times if you fight that often whether you got great defense or not. But I haven't seen enough of Pep to say he was a better defensive fighter, all I know is that he was supposed to be one of the most defensively sound fighters of all time.

If you are really a student of the game, you should watch amateur or prime Kostya. That is a class A boxer. Even PBF acknowledged this. How was he overrated?
