That one was one of the more ridiculous ones. DuBois was coming off a stoppage loss to Joyce and Dinu was coming off two tomato can wins after being stopped in consecutive fights by Jarrell Miller and Kubrat Pulev. Neither of them were legitimately top 30 guys at that point in time.

Conlan (which is another one) is the worst one I’ve seen recently. Neither Conlan or Doheny were ranked inside the WBA’s top 15 at 122 never mind 126 yet they fought for the vacant interim title at 126.
