Very Generic but True Statement. FATHER TIME IS UNDEFEATED. Time to hang it up. Happened to all the greats.

Of course, because the WBC would love to be involved in another money making fight that Pacquiao can surely deliver. This comment is nothing but selfish ambition and greed from the WBC president. I for one would hope Pacquiao retires and maintains his health for years to come. He's done it all.

The legs thing didn't come across as an excuse to me. An excuse would be, if I didn't have leg cramps, I'd have won and I don't think Manny tried to say that at any point. It was more like, my legs felt like shlt from early on in the fight... and the tacit understanding is that this was because he is too old. The legs just weren't there to do what they needed to. I don't see any need for a rematch. Trying to win against a top 10 fighter at 42 was a bridge too far. In hindsight, the victory over Thurman is one of the high watermarks of Manny's career, because he really should have been too old then as well.
What was weird with this fight is how the late switch messed with expectations. Against Spence, the general expectation was that Manny really had no chance because he was too old to take on someone at the top. When Spence switched out, there was the whole conspiracy theory angle and I think a lot of people leapt to an illogical expectation that now Manny had a decent chance. At the end of the day he was a 42-year-old man trying to win in a division that is unforgiving at that age.
I’ll give you one thing - you write really well.
That said, that was an excuse no matter how you say it. Think of what is being implied and the opposite of that excuse … “If it wasn’t for the cramps I’d have beaten Ugas”
Look at the other excuse he made after losing to Floyd - “I couldn’t throw my punches well because I injured my hand” … think about what’s at the opposite end of this nonsense - he is categorically that with a good shoulder he would have beaten Floyd.
Again, David Haye after getting beat by Wladimir removed his shoe to show us his broken toe and said he couldn’t move. If both of them aren’t making excuses, why not take their losses and accept they lost?
To give it context, every PAC loss is given an excuse by his delusional fans.
The Marquez KO was a “lucky” punch. A “lucky” punch in boxing! That’s laughable. And when they accept it, they retort, “but Marquez was scared of a rematch”
The Morales loss is defended by “but PAC destroyed him in the rematch”
It’s just laughable. There is zero accountability with his deranged fans. It’s like arguing with a woman. Zero accountability for their guy.
