I wouldnt say that made 14 million in 2 fights. He would have never made that money in the lower weights.

he did what he wanted to do, and he still would have got Pacquaio and it was the actual plan till the fallout with Pacquaip paradigm.

Now Mikey will probably get 4-7 Million to fight Rogou in nov/december. And still tons of fights to make for him.

He made too much money against Jessie Vargas. $7mil purse. They calculated the risk assessment in that it was Mikey who helped Spence do the $360K PPV, which means the network took about $14mil. Now of course DAZN ain’t $80 per view. So if 300K were to buy it at $20 that’s $6mil. DAZN was ******** on retention to bring Mikey fans over. That’s the investment DAZN was willing to make, the Mexican fans. The problem however is that all platforms were hit hard by the pandemic. Mikey probably wasn’t even believing in future fights in 2020 in that fighter’s purses were halved. I think Mikey, knowing his experience at Top Rank, didn’t understand that $3.5mil during a pandemic was normal as all athletes took a hit.

so Mikey just decided to side line himself with that $7mil.

Mikey would know that purses throughout industry have been reduced and that he doesn’t bring heavy drawing power. Mikey made about 5 PBC checks with the Vargas fight. As a matter of fact good for Vargas too. He took $1.5mil.

Mikey should consider Matchroom tbh. But we know Mikey is probably the gullible type to listen to Haymon to not do so. Mikey is solo, free agent, but that doesn’t mean he’d seek advising from Haymon anyways, which is a conflict of interest imo.

I dont know where you got the notion from. Mikey is boxing only real free agent and have proved that and in doing that he proved he goes where ever the money is at.

Nope! Mikey in countless interviews has stated any fighter associated to “Top Rank” (his words) then “it’s a problem.” There’s plenty of money at Top Rank. He has a genuine grudge against that promotional group and we know why.
