When they adjust their style it’s game over. Imagine a Lara that was busier and sat down on his punches more, or a Rigobdeaux that upped his punch output by like 50-60%.

he mopped the floor with Williams and all the judges were suspended for life. The fight with molina was a hugging fest, that wasn't even a fight. He doesn't duck anyone, and he made canelo look like an amateur. The people he's fighting, are the ones that signed the dotted line. Not too many wants that smoke. He has being in two fights of the year(how many of you idols can say that). If he has a dancing partner, you will get a heck of a fight. Be safe

What an infantile query. Cubans are often in a class of their own. Well schooled and often outstanding in many areas defensively and offensively.

So long as communism reigns in Cuba, they won't shake that amateur style of trying to win on points.

I beg to differ, I'm going to mention five fighters under 24 years old that, don't fight like amateurs. David Morell Jr., Yoelvis Gomez, Ariel Perez, Bruzon and Pablo Vicente. They're a couple more, but these are the one I have seen. And some from past like, Yoan Pablo, JC Gomez, Casamayor, Hurtado. They fought like professional fighters. We still have Dorticos, Yuni Gonzalez, Yordanis Ugas and William Scull(younger)that throw punches to hurt, not to mark a point. All this information is easy to gather, if you have never seen them fight. I don't understand why so many new fans just talk so much $h1t, without confirming what they are saying. Be safe and check those young kids.

There are always exceptions, but most of those fighters you mentioned aren't on anyone's radar. Most of them have less than ten fights as a pro. Ugas still fights like a Cuban Olympian, so I'm not sure why you mentioned him. Casamayor was the lone exception of any relevance from the fighters you mentioned.

Yoan Pablo and Gomez, Dorticos were World Champs, just like Hurtado, and if you think Ugas is fighting like an Olympian, go ask pacquio, jamal, robinson, lee and porter. If you don't see the relevance, I really don't know what to say. Actually, those kids that I mentioned, the ones under the radar (I think Morell Jr. is not under the radar) contradict what you are stating. The communism still in Cuba, and they have changed their approach. I mentioned that age has a lot to do with amateur habits, these kids are learning the pro-game and are fighting to hurt. Go watch some clips. By the way, if you have less than fifty boxers, and 45 are fighting or fought like professionals, it is not an exception, it is the norm. Be safe.

I think part of that is upbringing through adversity and how military like the boxing training is. Casamayor, Ugas and Luis Ortiz are three Cuban boxers I can think of who don’t fit that trait all that much.
