Will BUD vs PORTER even happen?

With information coming out that the WBO ordered Bud vs Porter matchup will go to purse bid, Do you think this fight will even happen?

Word is floating around that Al will advise Porter to pull out.

If the fight doesn't materialize, Who will Bud fight then??

      You think so man?
I mean it would suck if he did, Porter is the most competitive fight for Bud as of thus far.

I don't know, I've heard the rumours but I've seen nothing but rumours. Fingers crossed its nonsense and this fight is on.

Personally I've said for a long time that Porter and Thurman were sent out to make Crawford look bad, keep that resume down, claim they want it but keep themselves out of reach with money demands or generally what it takes but that was just my gut feeling. And now here we are, the fight is up for grabs and we will see who really wants or doesn't want what.

Well said, I mean that's the sad thing about Boxing in general, big fights can be made but the business side and politics keep them from happening.

I agree man I hope all the rumors remain just that and the fight really happens. You know, something tells me this fight won't happen but I hope I am wrong.
Bud and Porter are just so dang quiet and say nothing about this. No build up or nothing which makes me believe it won't happen.

Hard to say. It depends on a few things. Does PBC think they can sign Crawford? Will there be a big bid from someone unexpected (Triller)?

I don't expect TR to make a respectable bid unless they think they can re-sign Bud and use him against the fighters in their stable. If PBC doesn't bid and it's only TR's bid, I could see Porter walking and saying he has better financial opportunities. If PBC throws their hat in the ring or there is an overpay (Triller) I think it happens.

Triller can't even make the Lopez-Kambosos fight happen. I doubt they'd be rushing in to bid. Arum hurt Bud's reputation. Porter ain't ducking but his style ain't fan friendly either. All that equals is Friday Night Fights level fight. Not worth their purse demands.

Nice breakdown, there are certainly a variety of variables in this.
I really hope this fight materializes man. I also think for some reason or another, Bud will re-sign to Top Rank.
                We'll see definitely.

Very good points man. I highly doubt Triller really considers Bud v Porter at least for a main event, who knows though right? Bud's name generally speaking is not really known outside of avid Boxing fans.
                  We'll see what happens

Bud thinks he’s a big draw when he can’t even sell out small arenas in Omaha, NE. Arum isn’t paying for any fights that aren’t in house as he’s already losing money on Crawford for the small prices he’s already paying guys.
If it goes to a purse bid it won’t command a big price for either guy. This isn’t a PPV fight and the live gate would be horrible. This is a boxing after dark fight in the old HBO days.
