I think Ortiz might not be ready for Bud yet. Porter might not ever be ready for Bud but I think Shawn is in his absolute prime and Ortiz might still be able to polish up a bit.

Just my opinion. Both fights are interesting to me.

Shawn Porter is a proven top welterweight. Crawford needs to fight a proven top welterweight. Virgil isn't proven yet.

The Porter fight would give us a good comparative to Spence (pre accident, pre retina) plus I think it's an interesting challenge for him.

I realize styles make fights but absent them getting in the ring together (which is not a given), I will take a fight against Porter.

Neither Ortiz nor Porter do it for me.

I don't regard Porter as anything, and was far, far from impressed with Ortiz. Fight with the Euro bored me after a few rounds and I changed the channel to go to even more dreadful fight (Rigo). From what I've seen Ortiz is a C+ at this point. I saw nothing good or exciting. I don't see him becoming anything of note whatsoever, same for Ryan Garcia. Fight someone at 154, or a young (good) up and comer. I know they won't put Ennis in there with him, but try.

The only one I want to see Bud decapitate is that UK area bum, Josh Taylor.
