Roach just wants that rematch so badly! They want a BIG money fight, and it's hard to find one without "Money!" They wanted Mcgregor, which is why they went with Paradigm, but McGregor keeps losing! Then they wanted Mikey, but Mikey has been as inactive as Manny! Bob couldn't (or wouldn't) get the bag for Crawford, so they went with Spence! Even that wasn't going to be anything like Mayweather money! And of course, Canelo would be suicide! So they're stuck! If I were part of Team Pacquiao, my target would be Tank Davis at a catchweight! He could get some sort of revenge and a BIG payday!

But Floyd cramping pac style. Floyd shouldn't be mentioned in pac s breath. Pac s rubs shoulders with SRR, Armstrong, Ali. Pac don't want Floyd bringing him down constantly.

You expect roach to have this opinion. Manny is his top guy and he had a fight coming up so mentioning Floyd is how they gain attention. This happens every time Manny fights.

If roach or Manny fans want to apply the “ when they beat him” standard, that is fine with me.

Just remember when that is applied to Manny, that impacts the Morales wins, the Hatton win, the Shane and odh wins.

It also means that we have to ask when did Manny beat anyone ranked as high p4p as Floyd did when he beat Manny?

Here’s the thing, pac has 21 more fights than Mayweather and was a pro for several more years. So he needed a lot more time to try and make his legacy come close to Floyd’s. It’s like to trying to compare Lebron’s stats with Jordan’s when Lebron had way more years in the league to try and rack up the accomplishments. Either way, of their common opponents, Floyd faced better versions of all of them (Oscar, Cotto, Mosley, Hatton, ) except for Marquez, but in the case of Marquez, Floyd did what pac couldn’t do in 4 fights which was beat him clearly. Otherwise you have to match up pacs wins against Barrera, Morales, Bradley and Thurman vs Floyd’s wins vs Corrales, Castillo, Canelo and Pac.

I agree with this. But IF manny ever gets the Spence fight and beats him, along with the Thurman win and all his other titles I think he will be celebrated almost ad much as Ali. This isn’t to say it would make him BETTER than Floyd, but I do think Manny’s career will hands down be more celebrated.

Possibly. Floyd’s out of the ring history of DV impacts how mainstream sports media, especially women, talks about him. They want to celebrate someone other than him. Manny is the only one close enough to do that.

You saw how so many wanted Manny to beat him, then downplayed it after Floyd won the way he did.

Its a lot like Kobe post Colorado.

Floyd beat better versions of DLH, Hatton, Mosley, and Cotto, schooled JMM, (which Pac failed to do in 4 tries across multiple weight divisions), dominated Canelo...and clearly beat Pacquiao himself. Roach isn't exactly known for being unbiased.
