You can't beat someone when disengaging for most of the fight. Froch was the right winner. As was Casimero. Rigo was an absolute joke.

    • There should be a 10 second rule in boxing, if u don’t punch u lose a point, just like basketball, 3 seconds, 10 seconds rules. The right person wins. Casimero want to make a fight. Rigo just want to survive. If u don’t want to entertain and fight, just get out of boxing. People pay to be entertained.

Using inaccurate compubox punch stats is always a silly way to score fights, this fight is no exception. How effective/clean a punch is matters, Rigo landed more of those in every single round. Scrapping arm punches that were credited to Casimero aren't fooling me.
all boxers can do what Rigo was doing which is running. But not all have the heart to dodge punches and throw the counters. Rigo was just running like chicken
        Bravado Bravado likes this.

That may be true but i dont think RIGO took up boxing to entertain you. no denying it was a poor showing , RIGO used to be one of my favourite fighters based on skillset but since he quit against Loma ive shown no interest in him. He may as well retire no major network will be interested in him. Still having said that why was CASIMERO so gun shy?

          • It reminded me of the 3 stooges when Curly ran around the ring yelling woohoowoohoowoohoo. But at least Curly started throwing punches whenever Larry played pop goes the weasel.

Someone else suggested a 10 second rule where you gotta throw a punch, I'd make it a 25 second rule but yeah for real they outta.

Hell no! The Sweet Science would die and no longer be effective!

              • Rigo was robbed. Casimero cannot fight. If he would have fought a harder puncher in there tonight he would have been knocked out. He was swinging and missing all night against a man with 40 year old legs. He should have made a statement by knocking "The Jackal" out to night but he couldn't. If he fights either Donaire or Inoue he gets stopped.

                • I was not a great fight it was very boring but Rigo surely won the fight and ROBERT HOYLE 117-111 for Casimero is just as bad as the fight was...

His style has always been a gift and a curse and it really cursed him tonight.Casimero is solid, but with his lack of head movement, Inoue and Donaire both light him up.
That’s what made it so frustrating to watch. Rigo made Casimero miss (badly at times) without making him pay.

As for the score, I think Rigo edged it, however it was his fight to lose and he lost it more than Casimero won it. The judges more or less punished Rigo more than they rewarded his opponent because neither threw much.
