The short term impact is no Pac/Spence fight. The bigger long term question is if Spence has a career after this...he's had the car accident and now a detached retina. Abner Mares, Israel Vasquez and Lamont Brewster come to mind.
Even if he recovers from RD surgery, will he be the same fighter?
The Bud Crawford fight people wanted so much looks like an unlikely event.

Hopefully, Pac and Spence can revisit this fight again some time down the road; Well at least until his eye heals from the detached retinal surgery. With Spence out it puts the entire Welterweight division on hold. i just hope when Spence comes back he takes a tuneup or two before resuming his boxing career and fighting the likes of Pacquiao and Crawford. He has to test the acuity of that left eye.Comment
